Record Payouts In Mumbai

By Srinivas | 10-Jan-2019

In Today's Mumbai races, I find 2 payouts which may be the record highest in Indian racing (fellow HTians may correct me if I am wrong)

1) In Race No.4 2nd placed horse Dance Emperor is reported to have paid a whopping Rs.7730 shp in Mumbai on a 10 rupee wager (according to IR website)

2) In Race No.8 the forecast in Bangalore is reported to have paid a whopping Rs.54,828 for forecast on a 10 rupee wager (according to another website)

I would like to know from fellow HTians if they have seen higher payouts than these anywhere in India.

Master of passion: Tote dividends are not in the hands of race club or tote manager. Like JP total gross collection of punters will be put for deduction roughly 35 percent and the left over collection will be divided among successful ticket holders and every second it is fluctuating, till start of the race you are not assured how much you will get ? Some times you will get more also. For example I played Kangra place on tote and to my surprise it gave 14 on win and 22 for place, whereas the horse was odds-on firm favourite. That's the reason big amount punters prefers bookies. Tote is for small punters. You note down the gross JP and treble collection and after dividends note down actual payments made to successful punters, you will know how much club is deducting for govt and it's share and how much they are disbursing.

I have seen so many old people doing study and selecting their horses for ACW and for ACP but when dividend will pay 10/11/12 for win or place and same horses bookmakers odds are 70paisa,80/90 or more than even...what should they do after spending more than their life at race course (already they spent every thing in racing by choosing wrong profession..)

Sorry...this is altogether different subject but when topic comes on discussed about dividend then I started..

Hello..

How they calculate only god knows...they say it depends upon money puts on horse then they make it,then how come 60/100 horse paid dividend of rs 14 for place and 5/1 horse paid dividends of rs 10 for place ????.this happens with me at Pune last Monday for hydrabaf races I fought with the tote manager but he was unable to clarify things then he said give us in writing we will put to higher authority. What rubbishhh...this is the reason normal punter goes to bookie and plays at 10%.

What solutions rwitc wull make ..and there are n number of times this is had happen ...so many times they paid money back..what about old punters who spent there 30-40 years of life in racing ...studying in depth and playing their choice of horse and then he pays money backkkkk...????

Any spokesperson of the club please clarify.

Srinivas,

The forecast payment appears a record.  I vaguely remember one payout of 48k and another one 24k+.

Of course with Hudson a fluke wiiner with win payout 186/-, & Alpine express 200+ shp. I expected  the forecast  will be carried over.

But regarding shp, I think what S C Sharma said is correct.  Even though  they have shown in the result that 7730 is the shp payout, in the dividend chart they have shown shp as 773.  Of course, totes are combined at Bombay, Pune & Delhi.

B Prakash who sadly passed away recently, is rumoured to have ridden a winner in his early days which paid nearly 30k for win at Calcutta and about 40k+ in Bombay This was well before my time, hence old timers may be able to confirm or refute this. The horse was named Princess of Heart (or something very similar)

Clubs are going to loot punters...move away from racing.

My group friends completely suffered...one lot 1 lakh today.

Only means 10k+  roughly was collections on SHP pool and only 1 ticket passed. In last race Mumbai fc and qnp is carried over. Meagre amounts , both totalling to 12k. Reflects the pathetic state of rwitc tote.

In BTC tote collections for fc Qnp are 1.25 lacs and in hyd 200k plus.

Mr. Srinivas: I was at Pune and the dividend paid in 4th race Shp is 773/_ and  not as mentioned by you. Somewhere some mistake is there. Pl note the correct dividend of Shp.

There must be a mistake, they might have paid 730 for shp

As I got 400 for shp and 132 for place in Bangalore
