A Punter's Life!

By Smart-still-poor-punter | 12-Feb-2019

Hi Friends,

This post is for the latest crop of punters who are finding racecourse a 'safe haven' to reach out to make a fast buck.

Horse racing is more a sport and less a game to gamble with. This, I learned, after losing a huge sum as a punter, from 1989-2014. During those 25 years, race courses appeared to be the best place for me to live in as they brought me money in huge amounts on certain selected days. But never did I realise that I was losing in tons on the other side!

All those who claim in this column that racing is only for the patient and intelligent people, please don't believe them because even the most intelligent people have fallen by the wayside in no time after trying their hand here. The more patience you exert, the more onslaught you experience!

Punting is never taken as a full-time job. Each and every punter has a job or two to do to make an earning. Unfortunately, over a period of time, racing becomes the 'first' job and other activities revolve around this. I mean you earn from other employment only to invest in racing.

I have seen leading personalities from many fields, including film, who had come and ruined their lives in race-courses, all over India. I had visited all the race centres in the country, and still maintain friendship with a selected few in almost all the centres. But when I talk to them now occassionaly the first thing they tell me is "You are a great person Sir, you took a wise decision to give up racing in 2014. We are unable to.."

From beginning as a mere passion, punting slowly but surely turns into 'poison' and that happens when you start losing heavily. When I say 'heavy' it again depends on the thickness of an individual's pocket. During my 25-year stint, I lost close to Rs.50 lakh (a rough calculation, it has to be only more than that) in racing, a majority of which was my hardearned money, and the remaining taken as loans and borrowed as hand loans from friends and relatives. A good sum was generated through pledging of jewels also.

There were days when I earned in lakhs on a single day but not in many cases the money remained with me for a longer period. The more the money, the more the bets and the more the loss!

Even today, five years after having given up racing totally, I watch the results whenever I find time. I understand that racing standards have touched a new low and there seems little room available for new punters to make money. I don't know how far I am true!

A punter's life is the most dangerous life one can live. In addition to taking care of home needs, he (or she) has to manage funds regularly to visit race-courses at least during weakends. Whenever there are losses, they will have to look for new avenues to arrange for money to face the immediate future. The cycle soon comes to an end in most the cases and the real problem starts there and the punter's life turns a damp squib.

I know I have no right to advise today's punters but at least can share some of my past experiences that can serve as an eye-opener to them.

@SSPP,,

your  advice  from  your  experience is  true  but  is  not  correct  for  this  game - an  ambiguous  statement,   but very  correct....

you can  make  a fast  buck in  this  game  provided  you 'catch'  the  right  runner  at the  right time!

But  the novice or  the  newcomer  thinks  that  it  is  easy  to  make  fast  buck and  'remains'  in  the  field after winning has  led  to  their  downfall........

Luck  or  chance helps/ rewards  only  once ,  may  be  twice  but  never  regularly...

Patience and  intelligence helps  a  punter  to cut  losses and remain  close  to  positive  ROI  but  can  never  help  hinm  to make  a  big  buck.most  of  punters come  with a  dream  to  make  it  big but continue filling the  coffers  of  bookies /tote ...

Leading  personalities  of  many  fields  HAD  NO KNOWLEDGE   of  what  racing  is  and  came  to  grief. A big  and  successful  mill  owner ,  many  film  personalities  - regular  i 80's and  90's have  disappeared, forever. Because  they  did  not  have  any  clue for  winning a race!

Today's  cut-throat  competition  if  a  punter  does  NOT  LEARN   the intricacies  of  game  he will never  be  a winner...

The on going topic at HR is shared by experiences of  punters. The question is what you keep in your mind when entering in a betting center? The younger generation,to win and make bookies bankrupt, the older ones,to crack JKPTS,pools, of the day. While the others are those,to enjoy the sports and pick outsiders in longer odds.It is very nice to see successes in your predictions, this thing give more confidence and energy to brain.

Life is a Miracle !

People around world are looking for Shortcuts in Life. Easy Money is the Factor which drives People Crazy..Every one Needs Easy Money, No Matter what, they are more worried about Instant Results..coz they dont have to work hard.

If a Punter is Looking for easy money.. dont you think Bookies are looking for Easy Money ? Clubs are Looking for easy Money ?

In fact no one was asked any punter to come to horse racing and punt their money on the Horses. It is YOU (punter) who was decided to punt !!

If Easy Money making is that easy why people are not making enough money and living happily? why rich are becoming richer and Poor becoming Poorer ?

One Advise to Genuine Punter,

Before we come to race course, 'THINK' why we are coming to race course with out proper Education.

Before Punting Money on Horse, 'THINK' if can afford that money to loose or win.

Before following a Tipster or Book or media, THINK' why we have to rely on some one if we are punting our money.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember that in a Race, Every Horse participating has a chance to win even ifs a hot fav or Long Shot. It is just that Majority fancied a favorite doesn't mean that it should win.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

learn the sport, Study the intricacies, Trust your own Judgement, Dont get carried away. Dont be Much Disappointed or Too Excited about anything.

and Lastly follow your Heart !..

IIM Blue,

You are one among several hundreds who quit race betting after introduction of GST.  But, those who bet with bookies are continuing even now.  The GST rules virtually choked Bangalore Tote.  However even now there is relatively good collection at tote.  Tote collections that were around 1 cr per race before GST has now shrinked to around 10 lakhs for off course betting and 15 lakhs for live races.

I attended races for 25 years and finally quit in 2017.I always played at tote and specialised in catching outsiders. Normally,  I would concentrate on useless trainers and useless jockies,  as even a place would fetch a good amount in Bangalore tote. I didn't make big money nor I lost much. But professionally I lost everything. Catching winners and beating the system became an obsession to me. Many times I thought of quitting but the enormous experience I had gained, would have gone waste !That was my argument. Over the years,  I saw decent,  innocent people losing everything and being taken to cleaners. Simpleton villagers losing their everything!! The system doesn't spare anyone.  Our ego doesn't allow us to see the reality. Even a foolish punter has to win sometime or another!  He doesn't know that the system will only suck him deeper. Even after all this,  I would not not have left. Introduction of GST pushed me out of racing!  There was nothing left for tote betters and dividends dwindled. It is more than a year now and I have not stepped into the race course. Life has started all over again.

Godzilla is right. It is ideal for retired people who have everything to gain,  nothing to lose!

U can make money in racing only if u sit calmly in one place and play only ur choice rather than betting others choice and then returning to ur choice.

Here are few tips which has worked out for me.

1.Sit calmly in one place alone.

2.Play 2 or 3 races a day

3.Play only favourite.

4.Do not play terms,3years,special events.

Handicap.

1.Do not play class promotion or depromotion.

2. Do noy play highly fancied like 2/1 to even money.

these are my tips hope it will help u

Shaps,

A good reply/response.  I have also lost, but now stopped betting for win/place even in tote.  I bet small amounts on forecast, and more than doubly happy if I clear 15 forecast bets in 100 attempts.

I am happy that there are decent replies to the lead post.  It is always the bookies & club who are winners.  Perhaps, one might have lost 5/6 days in a row.  But, he wins in one day which may be fraction of his total loss in the preceding 5/6 days.  He will jump in joy.

However, Chanakya peddles a different theory.  Perhaps, he is the only punter who claims that he has won.  By betting Malavika for place, by laying a favorite 2 or 3 hours after the race etc.  Well.  Let him keep the winnings and go on a world tour.

The best writing I have come across in many months.

The accepted fact that he lost is sincere in nature. The advice is the best given anytime.

Thiese suggestions and advice should be read and re-read many times by all punters. Nobody says so openly and clearly as this gentleman does. His advice will be  supported by many seniors and long playing punters.

Sir, I salute you  for writing this topic.

I hope that after reading this article, many will ponder a lot and stay away from horse racing, though it will be very difficult.

Today's racing is only to loot the public, nothing else.

Finally, would say that if one loves his family and concerned about their future, the one and only way is to stop playing horse racing.

Good post, would have helped me a lot if I had read it few years back.

Nevertheless still does help me, made my mind clear.

It's a game of uncertainity, which is good since it's the nature of game. Its only not good when outcome is certain with human intervention.

I quit  regular punting anyway but still at times end up in rAce course

I dont know how mcuh you can say about luck factor in Racing as a horse stumbling when taking a start or in the race or finding himself stuck in traffic. Its all the nature of the sport.Yes a nose or neck would have cost many billions.

The luck factor does play a vital role in Cricket and Football for sure.

Like if you were play for a goal in the entire match of 90 minutes and near misses notwithstanding you see a penalty missed at the stroke of wistle by a specialist ,now thats badluck destroying you.The most outrageous  is it happens in 3 games successively which you have done.

You could see as many as 6 catches be put down in game were there are just max of 6 batsmen, that will ruin you.The worst part is you would have done big in that game

In racing were we have come to beleive that a good 60% is manupilated,it isnt worth risking your money. That too in  Indian Racing.

God knows why it happens, the Punter always takes the stick

The author is 100 percent correct and started punting in the year 1984 and soon my professional engagement compelled that should not be seen in the course thuogh i used to sneak in.I have also lost money but certainly only on an affordable scale. By Gods grace i developed the habit of not taking loans including the purchase of my upmarket apartment. After coming out of profession I started going to the ring only to find the big punters of those days requesting for a drink in the club or for other issues. For me the maxi one can make is a one time win or win to meet the bar bill. Nothing beyond this is possible because though the horse in running it is controlled by humans. If you cannot enjoy quit and it is the only way out before one loses not only money but also the mind. I wish not to mention names

It is not possible to win in races.   Say a person visits race course 30 days in a month.  At best he can expect to break even in 10 days, gain in 5 days and donate to bookies or tote the other 15 days.

Let us not speak about quitting the horse betting.  That is not possible.  You will be away from race course only if you do not have money.

So,let us not be hypocrites.  Let us take a royal oath today to not indulge in betting above 2000/- in any race.  If one decides 1000 or 500 is the maximum bet on a horse, that is still better.

YOU CAN NOT WIN IN RACES.  YOU MAY BE SHREWD AND DYNAMIC OUTSIDE THE RACE COURSE IN YOUR PROFESSION, BUSINESS.  But, inside the race course, the bookie who may be just matriculate or intermediate drop out will taunt you, mock you.  You can not win against his sharp aptitude of writing odds.  I know a gold medalist in IIT who has lost a more than 15 crores in the last 12 years!

Your accumulated financial liability is no excuse to bet 10k, 20k on a sure shot.  It is always the sure shots that give you a resounding slap.  Like Desert God, Searjent at Arms, Sir Cecil etc.

I think we should agree the defeat and move on in life..... Rather blaming race course....There are thousands of families surviving becoz of race course and there are few struggling to achieve like me in race course.

Blaming race course is not right... I go everyday with a mindset to have a good day and set my limit with certain amount.... Only way to earn money in course is by playing place....

Stop believing information so called gabbar and believe ur study n never get confused while placing ur bet.... Spend time watching past videos and reading book I promised you will find a winner but the best practice is to still play ( Place)..

Place is the magic.

Play small win big should be the method which will initially work as a new punter and every punter will be so lucky to win big as a fresher which makes him feel to stay long and forever in this racing field. But 99% cannot resist the greed and will start to increase their bets which will eventually ruin the way of living.

I am 30 years old, I usually fancy and play only long shot the day I play less it works and the day I back heavily the horse finishes off board, the luck factor is missing.

Over all, In four years I have faced a loss of 40 lakhs, which could have been prevented by staying calm and patience, which is highly irresistible for most punters.

It all started when Be Safe won the Bangalore Derby 2014.

Patience and Luck!! Is the key mantra to survive in this racing field. Hoping and i wish for a long shot to change my fortunes. But the answer is when?????  Whicb could lead to more loss and will eventually destroy peace of mind.

To all Punters " Be Safe" !!! Keep your calm and achieve and enjoy small success. Forget the past, chasing the past will hinder the future. Gone is gone!!!! racing is bet small-you win - roll on your bets on a day when everything you pick is right!! Don't hesitate....

Good Luck!!!!

@SSPP,

Horse racing WAS a game ealier now it is a game to gamble with ! Skill was required earlier to win; skill - perhaps a bit more, is still required to win today.

It is a full time job for very few and a pastime to earn some dough for most of the racegoers who consider that it is easy to very easyn to make some money from betting in this game...

But that is not so. Most of the punters have neither owned nor ridden a horse or worked in a stable to understand the intricacies of the game. They presume that by reading a racebook and getting info from various sources and analysing the movement of odds at racetime they will catch a winner. Occasionally it may happen, mostly it will fail...

Then what is the remady : first and easiest is leave the racecourse forever or reduce the betting to tenners and consider this game as a pastime like going to movies and spending few hundreds for entertainment - if a punter is hooked to the game...

To make money or to get positive ROI from betting , the mindset and the approach has to be drastically changed. Understand the game and learn - hard way, the game by virtual betting , analysing mistakes and improving the 'skill'. It will take time - months, maybe years...

Don't blame the game for your inability to 'tame' it ...

Hi .My friends used to go to races. One day I went along with them This was in 1985. After a few days was getting sucked into the game. Another friend offered the amount I was losing and give up going to races. But no. The Fantasy of making money was too great.specially when I was not having regular income. In 1986 came into some good money due to inheritance. Next 3 years racecourse was my home. All money was spent either lost or just spending in those 3 years. Took up a job and left racing. Again around 2012 visited course just for fun. Again got sucked slowly and lost interest in my business. Lost again. Total loss may b around 4lacs. Left last year hoping to never go back now. Have seen so many people lose their belongings it numbs me that people can even call it a sport?Advice new comers to run far away from races. Its not worth it. U lose money and u lose your sanity and worthiness and time.

A perfect way to represent a truth. It's a cruel sport where you don't realize when you loose a fortune in no time.

This habit of gambling cannot go away straight, but can be controlled slowly if you stop playing on credit, borrow loans and pledge your jewellery.

Think of your family's  future when u feel to bet big and think what will happen if your luck why's away from you.

Get rid of thoughts where you believe you can make money from racing.

When big Owners are finished, after so much inside information, Where do we stand????

Never play on credit, give shouts on bookies, chase your losses.

Stop Taking race books, Skip going to race course, See repeat videos of today's races after 2 days(This will lead to low queriocity)

Take jackpot when u feel the urge of racing

Go out with your family and friends on weekends to avoid racing.

I personally feel good when I see myself saving money for my future.

Bookies ban is a blessing in disguise for punters who are addicted to it.

I still bet but a limit of 4 digit figure is set by me as per my limit without Credit.

Hope we all save a fortune for our generation to come.

Very nice posting. I agree with you fully. I would like to post my views also.

1. Racing is not for the Middle Class and Lower middle class.

2. Its a Royal Sport and meant for affluent guys and old guys. As far as affluent class is concerned, they have already seen money and winning is for the thrill of it and losing once in a while may not affect them, as they will quickly correct their flaws. As far as old guys are concerned,  they have nothing to lose as they may not live longer. Its only their recreation which they badly need as they are written off by every section of society. When a person is going to die in a few years, let him drink, gamble and enjoy.

3. I have been attending and gambling on horses for nearly 4 decades. Initially I confined my betting to a few rupees and later on, when I achieved everything, I started playing in thosuands and that too  on one or two horses per week. Winning and losing hardly matters to me, as I love the sport and continue to enjoy the thrill. If one has such control, one can attend Races and gamble. Unless one is happy, calm and contended, one should not attend Races and gamble. They are likely to lose big time and end up drinking heavily to forget their losses and search for some other pleasure as if there is no tomorrow for them.

In Racing, no chasing losses should be attempted. If one incurs  loss on a particular day, one should forget and start afresh, not immediatly, but a few days later and start punting.

4. One of the gentleman has written that he is hiding his face from a particular bookie and punting. In that case, the guy is going to incur further losses as his confidence on himself is shattered. He should try and pay the dues to the Bookie first and then start punting with a calm mind. That will make him to achieve the impossible. That stigma that he is a debtor should be erased first. This is my considered view or suggestion for this guy.

All the best to everyone, as I wish everyone should be happy.

Very well narrated, SSPP.

That horse racing is a graveyard, is indeed very true.   Most punters not only lose loads of money (beyond their means, of course), but worse still is the fact that Horse Racing takes precedence over everything else, job/business/family etc. and valuable time is lost for ever, doing nothing better.   I know people who will sacrifice a meal, just so they can be at the race course to play their so-called winning bet (which most of the time, loses !).

A facade is created, to portray that one is winning at the races.   People brag about their perceived winnings,    On the other hand, to cover up for their losses,  they resort to blatant lies.   Such is the sorry state of affairs, in a sport called Horse Racing, and once a punter, always a punter (generally speaking).

You are one of those lucky ones who could quit.   Obviously, you realised that the going will only get tougher and there is no way that you can recover your losses, let alone gain something.   Kudos to you, I hope many others, including yours truly, will take a leaf out of your endeavour.

Gone through all postings and understand that every one has misconception about racing.i don't know what u ppls wud say after witnessing many many ppls in share market!! Let all u/s don't think only hard earned money help us always.even u win a lottery ,shares, horse racing will support you in life.but how u handle it only problem.niwadays racing is not run on merit or skill of the trainer jockeys.i meant to say few races in a race card is clearly setting by them.so must find out which are those setting races and which r races cud run on merit.in stake money above 3kakhs there won't be setting and every owner will try.if u find such races and study deep u will find clear cut winner.once u r confident u can lay bet whatever amount. Actually this frustration all created by Racing clubs only.if the stewards control wrong doing every punters bookies wud happily run the business. I m into it from 1970 actually I am accidental punter.but get involved into it.i like the hooves sound.its terrific.we shd enjoy at any circumstances then only we can recover our lost money. So forget everything think u r the best in the world to identify winner horse play and enjoy.dont curse racing.its not gud.

Sir you are right but my experience is diffrent if you have littele patience you can earn money from here.I started racing in the year 1977 by chance whenI was doing my Charted Accountant course at Mumbai entered the race course without knowing any about racing whwn i Saw punters(so called public at race course) talking about horse i asked one man why you all are shouting on one perticular horse he just lafed and tole me you are new here then i said yes i am new and shoen my boss and told him i just come alongwith him he said oh he is onwer of horse then he said i will tell you about racing but you just tell me what he talked with other . I heared he was talking to one man that time i was anot aware who is that man he told to my boss you just bidas put mony on your own horse we will win butweight is little worry i told that same word to that man he just said oh he is trainer and gave me Rs 20 with some number and told me to bring one ticket i did the same after that when race was over ticket gave me Rs 970/-that was the my first experienceafter that i started to visit racecourse on every sunday one day my bos saw mw on course and try to explain this place is not for you i did not reply to his words then he say now you will not leave the race course as a owner i am giving you three main key facter to follow in racing to earn money.

No.1 - Do not bet every race.

no.2- Invest your mony on equal term means do not bet less then1.10 moneyhorse.

No.3- Invest equal amount either you win or loose (means try to put your bet with same amout.)

No.4- Do not bed luck with your own.(means ony play one horse if you put another means you are making your luck as bed luck)

and  belive me i  just follow the same and till that day to today i had made some money to enjoy my vaction and outing.

I am still following the same but now a days racing is changed and getting less profit in comaire to old days.

Its my life tru experience.

The few responses that I see on the very first day of posting my "A Punter's Life" easily goes to give an impression that all's not well for race-goers in India.

Except for one person, who claims to be making money regularly and always remains positive and plus, all others have come close to say that the race course is nothing but a graveyard. The nighmarish experiences shared by me seems to have brought out the real feelings from these people.

At this stage, I would like to reply two posts, one from 'Deby My Punting' and the other from 'Shaik Asif'.

@ Deby My Punting : Punting is different from cheating, but punting can lead to cheating. This was what happened in your case. Out of greed for money, you tried beyond your limits and finally had to lay your hands at the wrong place to clear the 10k debt, right? I had come across many such sickening experiences in my racing life. Once I was in Bangaluru race course, betting till the last money I had. Finally, I had no money to return to Chennai (During those days I was based in Chennai). I literally beg from the bookie with whom I lost all my money on that day to spare with a few hundred rupees. Since it was for the first time he also helped me, after looking at me from top to bottom. I felt like a hundred needles pricking me all over my body! I had helped several punters who had come begging to me like that (but none of them had returned me the money even as I see them playing in thousands from the next day?) You wanted to know how get rid of this hiding life. The best thing to do is face him boldly and tell him your problem and have an arrangement to clear his money in equal monthly instalments, say 1,000 x 10. I am sure he will accept it. It's always nice to be sincere and get defeated in races rather than cheating others!

@ Shaik Asif : I understand your state of mind although I really don't know how long you have been into racing, how much you have lost and what actually prevents you to take a firm decision. Let me first narrate an incident to you that happened in Chennai in 90's. One day I made a profit of Rs.45,000/- by playing unit bets. A friend (only a race-course friend, mind it!) who was noticing all this wanted to accompany me up to my house, just to share the happiness of my victory (I got him a bottle of beer too!). As soon as I reached my home, I got ready to say 'bye' to him. But he was reluctant to go. He said "I will be very grateful to you if you can lend my Rs.10,000 for a matter of week as my son's birthday has been arranged in a hotel tomorrow and I lost all the money in racing today." I fell to his sentimental speech and immediately gave him the money. A week later, he started avoiding me, and even started going to the second stall for betting (I don't know if you have two book stalls in Chennai now?) One of his close friends, who was also known to me, later told me that he was a 'cheat', identify people like me, follow them and take money on such pretexts. I was shocked to know that he never celebrated his son's birthday as told to me. Neither he returned the money nor I went after asking for that. Now, let me come back to your issue. If you are really serious to quit racing, you may have to do the following : 1) work out your total commitments 2) If you are married, sit with your wife and share everything without hiding anything (she may shout for some time but will definitely come to your rescue soon) 3) See what is your income and how best you can start repaying your debts in case you gave up racing (you must also see whether racing has been helping you in any way to clear your piling debts!) 4) Take your close friends (who are not into racing) into confidence and seek a quick hand loan, depending upon their financial abilities, and try to clear necking problems. If there are any banks from where you have not taken loans so far (race-goers fill up all holes and hardly leave out any revenues, I know?), see how much loan you can generate. That's all! You collect the money and give it to the people you owe and tell them to wait, if anything is still outstanding. Anyone who gets a portion of his due will definitely do so. But take my word, after taking your family into full confidence, after planning a life without racing, and doing all this hard exercise, at any point of time if you think you can still venture into racing and make money without the knowledge of others, you are finished. Even the Gods can't help you!

Dear Shaik asif you wanted leave the race but you could not..my advice is not keep money in your pocket give all money to your family and take daily for your need ..definatly you will not go to race course just try it immidiatly then see the result you will get positive only.

Sir you are absulatly correct..I have seen so many punters before going to race course and starting to play race they were having good life and happy familys. After some years thay are now in bad condition with lot of fanicial problems with distrub family life. They are loosing there status in socity as well as in there family. My advice to new punters not to go to race course if going stop it and enjoy your joyfull life.No one can earn money in race course only Bookeys, horse owners, trainers, jockeys and club athority are gainer/winners .No pnuter is winner they are always looser..its horse race always loosers.

Dear Friends

Most difficult part in betting is "SELECTION"  then " Money Management". Which horce to play and how much to play. In any case betting amount must be your own and very well within your financial capacity. If I can't make SELECTION of my own there is no harm to follow Any One (or) Maximum Two Tipster regularly. Once you have selected the tipster (one or two) stick to that for a longer period. Don't flipflop. My sincere request to punctures who have lost heavily and now become TIPSTERS, Please Stop.

Regards.

Dear 360 and others in the same line

I find your selection and tips almost every day on every centre, but you mentioned here that you have left racing long back after heavy loss. Naturally your selections were not good.

Why this dual tone?

Perhaps you want others too to quit racing after heavy loss on tips of yours and other tipsters of your class.

Regards

One thing I am sure.  The race betting is always a losing proposition.   The difference is only in the amount one loses.  One may lose just 1000/- in a day.  But, there are punters who lose 20k to 50k in a day.

50 lakhs in 25 years!  As ashokmysore has mentioned, it requires 5 years only in the current times to lose 50 lakhs.  Of course, there are several youngsters who inherited big assets but squandered their big fortune in just under 2 years!

But, we have among our midst one punter Chanakya. He was claiming millions gain which amount he spent on world tour!  I punctured his pride balloon, demolished his profit claims and asked him to never open his mouth to tell about his profits.  He is terribly angry with me and nowadays is very much irregular in posting his selections,   I only ask punters never to believe his bluffs and lies.  At most conservative estimate he would have lost twice or three times of my loss.

In recent days, he claimed gains by laying favorites.  I know he is from Mumbai and I reminded him that bookies are not entering the race course in Mumbai.  There is deafening silence from him since then.

Smart still poor punter,

You are really a wonderful man.  So far, I have not come across any punter who has given up betting.  Of course every punter has his quota of sob stories.  But, we punters are in hopeless minority.  All punters from all racing centers put together may not add up to one lakh,

Thanks for your post sir at todays trend it will take only 5 years to loose 50 lakhs so new  generation has to think twice before playing fav one has to look for longer odds and play little amount play with cation and look for other ways to earn extra money best thing is to visit racecourse occasionally

SIR,

I APPRECIATE  UR CONCERN TOWARDS PUNTER  AND U HAVE ALL THE RIGHT TO SHARE UR  GOLDEN  EXPERIENCE .I will explain what went through my life i am a 18 year old boy  and a year back in a racecourse(dont want to mention the center) i was investing normally like every one and i was earning a good sum of money and one day this cruelty hit me where I caught up with this illegal bookie  (who is a good a person) started doing the business with him .We used clear the account by evening after completion  all the races and one terrible day I had gambled more than my limit  and had the amount to give which i had lost and this greed  took over me and i had bet an extra 10,000  and didnt have it to give and i gave the amount which i had  to his friend and literally ran away from the racecourse. THEN,I HAVE  10K DEBT . after that day i am entering racecourse hiding my face which is so hurtful .I sincerely follow SMART STILL POOR,GODZILLA ,SC SCHARMA,CHANAKYA,AB,DHARMESH AND MANY MORE.I want all ur valuable inputs on what i should do now because its so difficult to hide the face and bet only on tote in a particular place.I HAVE LEARNT FROM MY MISTAKE BUT WANT THE SOLUTION

YOUR SINCERELY

True analysed & guidance, even me as punter left @2004 who started from@1983.

Now I see dividends are lesser than daily wages.

better to do business or worker, no handicap system can win all races

Hi dear your correct in your view .

I play race and I m happy it's my passion and I don't care if I lose also but very rare I lose because I always win or level up. Because I play in small if earning is in my day if I play 5rs I can win thousands.

My view in race is try to play small and win in big.

Want to win in race just follow one tip play always play only one horse for each race. Which you see that it be on board don't see the rates. You will win diffenetly.

That's all

thanks for the topic

Best of luck
