Race 1 - Rospomare - He beat Benevolence hollow in race 123 - There after Benevolence beat Fanfare.

Race 2 - Arrowfield.

Race 3 - Huzzah's Grace - If it has overcome the BV problem.

Race 4 -  King Khalil - front runner - Between the Waters has to catch him.

Race 5 - Princess Eliza - Going from grade 1 race to class 5 handicap. There must be some quality to this filly. will come to know after the race.

Race 6 - Dazziling Star - Or does Sandesh's mentor give him another win in his quest for champion jockey.

Good afternoon. Tricky day for racing today. Some good wagers are listed here. If you want solid information for Bengaluru race, contact directly in messenger.

Race number one: Fanfare is aiming to win this race but place is certain. Place should quote around 90 p.

Race number 2: Excellent Sorrento is good bet for place if quoting above even.

Race number 3: Best avoided though smoky haze can win but look for backing in the ring.

Race number 4: Frieze will place at decent odds.

Race number 5: Cormorant is a good bet each ways but place is certain.

Race number 6: I generally advise people to avoid the last race. Shivalik Queen looks almost certain to take this one. But it's a race best avoided.

The race card looks simple but only if you are willing to play odds on places. Wins can be slightly tricky.

3.45 #5 TIANJIN HONEY has improved with blinkers on finishing close 4th last start. He could have more to offer over a mile and a quarter trip. 

4.15 #1 ARROWFIELD has acquitted himself well in stronger contests than this and with the drop back up in trip expected to suit, he is fancied to defy top weight for the top stable. 

4.45 #8 SMOKEY HAZE has filled second place on her last couple of starts and she can be supported to go one better this evening with ace rider in saddle. 

5.15 #7 KING KHALIL won well after jumping from a wide draw last time out. He has a much better draw today and although he drops to minimum he has a useful 5kg claiming apprentice to assist. 

5.45 #4 PRINCESS ELIZA bolted up in Indian Oaks Grade 1 last start and now drops in grade. She will be on speed in a race where they are unlikely to go hard early. 

6.15 #8 THOMAS HARDY arrives here having shown significant promise on the gallops and he can prove up to making a winning debut. Strong fancy.

MUMBAI SELECTIONS  14/03/2019.

Race 1:   The horses that command consideration in this B class race are Fanfare(1), Aquarius, Tianjin Honey(5) & Rospomare(6). Fanfare having won this class in her last but one start may find the going tough on handicap. Aquarius could find distance difficult. That leaves us with two horses Tianjin Honey(5) & Rospomare. The former though younger in age getting to travel this distance first time in his career. The later, however, has shown promise in his last start by finishing 3rd over longer, in higher class, within 3 lengths, to the winner Momentum who went on to score an encore. This encourages me to fancy his chances more than Tianjin Honey especially with positive switch in saddle.

Race 2:   Ignoring older horses 3,7 & 8 the focus is resting on on Arrowfield(1), Excellent Sorrento (2), Octavious(4), Dance The Dream(5) & Medici(6). Octavious loses out for having finished over 13 lengths to the winner in his last start. Excellent Sorrento & Dance The Dream are both first career start winners. The former has Million race run benefit & the latter Graded race run benefit. If you ask me put my hand up between these two I will go with former since the latter is getting to mile race first time in his career though his half brother Jack Frost has travelled up to 3000m. Arrowfield(1) has got everything going for him, who won this class on his first appearance this season,went to Hyderabad to participate in Golconda Derby Grade 1 and is returning to home center. But I am worried on 3 counts. The handicapper has not penalized him even though he finished higher than horses rated far higher in the Derby. He is coming down in distance from 2400m to 1600m and the anti-post odds indicates he is overwhelming favourite to the exclusion of others. So I am going with Excellent Sorrento who gets value now. Medici(6)i is the joker in the pack.

Race 3: Highland Wind(2), Huzzah’s Grace(3), Smoky Haze(8) & Lovely Fairy(9) are the contenders. Huzzah’s got exposed while finishing 4th to Aberlour at 20/1 and also BV case, hence pass. It is difficult to choose between the other three but I am going with Lovely Fairy who came up with a rattle from the back of the field in race 85 to finish on the haunches of Smoky Haze in 3rd.

Race 4:  Without going into the nitty-gritty of the contenders I am confidently going along with King Khalil who is well in at weights and also he is always a front runner.

Race 5:  Cormoront(2), Night Hunt(3), Hi Ho Silver(8), Saffron Flower(9) & Allegria(10) will be in the betting focus in this race. I am giving it a pass for the last two named for having won the class already this season. Hi Ho Silver is not able to establish the right distance for her and Night Hunt is having a negative switch in the saddle extinguishing some hope on him. Cormorant has good numbers to bag the race after having had two educative runs in this center and the last one in a class 4 million race finishing fifth with just 2.5 lengths in arrears to the winner. Trevor riding won’t hurt.  Keep an eye on Princess Eliza(4) who can upset the applecart.

Race 6:  With higher class run benefit in her last start where she finished 3.75 lengths behind winner, Shivalik Queen is my choice in this race following a pattern for class 4 race. Tenerife(2) emerges as the threat among other runners.

R J KOLAH CUP 4th race of Mumbai races 14-03-2019:

Out of eight runners in this 1000 mts cl three race first four horses number 1 to number 4 having very bleak chances of winning. Next four horses number 5 to 8 are in fair chance of remaining in contention for win. Except King Khalil other three ran 5-6 times and won two races each, whereas KK won first outing over 1400 mts start to finish. Next outing taken to Hyderabad for big race Golconda 2000 Guineas over 1600 mts where ran a forward race and finished 9th out of 10. That run was too early and in tough company, may be connections expected lot more than the gelding’s stamina. Next run entered over 1400 mts at mumbai in cl iv race at top weight but withdrawn due to refused to stalled. Than last run won over 1200 mts settled 3-4th in first furlong than gone to front and remained in front till winning post. Penalised 9 points for that win but claiming five kg allowance today the penalty zero down. The other three horses nearest rivals number 5, 6 and 8 are not front runners and use to come from behind. Today the race is for 1000 mts and KK likes front running with feather weight very advantageously placed. Distance, weight and jockey, draw number favours this fullbrother to Valient Spirit and half brother to Majestic Opinion and Romantic eyes. KK seen trying to drift also in last run but after some rest and after one good workout expected to deliver and we fancy  this gelding to win the R J KOLAH Cup.

1-3 SMART VISION - By Rip Van Winkle, 7L behind the winner over 2000m. If run to its potential can win. Decent eachway chance.

2-8 FLYING DRAGON - Last win came in sept 2016. Was on board many times, has come down in class and a win is over due. DAYS BEST!

3-8 SMOKY HAZE - Ran a 1/2L second in 1400m race recently 1:25:82 Travelling the same distance and Sandesh on board this time. Should win in this lower set.

4-7 KING KHALIL - Recent winner of a 1200m race winning wire to wire. 200m less in not an issue, has speed to win again and moreover an apprentice riding almost carrying no weight 51-5KG = 46KG. Sharerah will not go without a fight. SHP/PL for sure.

5-4 PRINCESS ELIZA - Ran in 1000 Guineas and Oaks. Now running in the lowest category 4-30. Has a very good chance to regain her reputation. Good eachway bet if bigger odds.
