Karl was one of the best there was apart from Vasant( the greatest indian rider) but Karl was dead honest. He had predected Tulipa to his friends 2 days before the oaks. Sad to see the family disgraced now a days.

AS JOCKEY P SHROFF WON MOST OF THE RACES AFTER KARL UMRIGAR  EVEN AS A TRAINER .... CAN ANYONE THROW LIGHT ON THEIR RELATIONSHIP & REASON FOR THIS PASSION OF P SHROFF.

I have seen from a decade most of this trophy race has won by pesi shroff Karl umergir cousin..hope this year also he will win.. 

Yes,  Karl Umrigar was the best jockey this nation had ever seen.

Never did accept any horse from wrong connections who had deceptive ideas.

People from all walks of life played his ward with certain confidence, and he never dis-appointed them.

I remember illeterate  rickshaw wallas asking me the number of the horse Karl was riding, and they used to play blindly his ward.
