Sir Cecil The Stallion

By Rahul71 | 30-Mar-2019

News is that the Great Sir Cecil who had a sad ending to his career has been active as a Stallion.  He's covered two mares...Practically perfect & Annakita.  Even though Indian bred Stallions like the great Elusive pimpernel haven't had much luck in producing winners hooe Sir Cecil fares better.

Is that a joke that Sir Cecil was lucky to have weak opposition in his wins?  I mean are u serious? He was simply unlucky to have troubled leg at end of his racing career. Or else today we would have been talking of him to be raced in Dubai or UK. He was an out and out classic horse and it was always a pleasure to watch him sweep the opposition.

Well a National Record for 2000 Metres and 7 Group races, 4 Group 1s a great pedigree and a great looking horse, if that is “Mediocre” I’ll take it. There’s a reason why supposed Smart Punters are Poor I guess

Well, I would not want to comment on how Sir Cecil would perform as a Stallion but whatever limited knowledge of racing I have, he was probably the best horse of this generation besides the wonder filly Jacqueline.

Smart but still poor punter

As the breeder I take great exception to your comments, Calling the grey medicore? Well obviously you lack an eye for horses. H ewas beater once when he had blown his tendon, same horses were far behind him in his career otherwise. Anyways now we wait 4 years and see how is progenyt perform on the track. until then its is all speculation. I for once speculate that he will be great sire.

'Sir Cecil' is a mediocre type and it's really too much to expect a lot from this horse. It was Sir's good time that there were no worthy opponents during the first eight runs, and when tough opponents came in, Sir went bursting. For heaven's sake, please don't try to compare Sir Cecil with all-time greats like Elusive Pimpernel. Even 'Be Safe' was far better than Sir Cecil, when it came to performance.

I think Anaikita is a sprinter considering Sir Cecil front running it may suit for sprint very well.so we can expect another ruffina. Secondly Sir Cecil s sent to Stud much earlier than Elusive or any other top class horses in the past can't compare those with SirCevil.he s energetic now.
