Will certainly be careful while using descriptives like "hack the field". However, I was quite confident that the horse will win very easily. Maybe, the change in jockey spoiled the day. Still, placed third to enthrall choicers like me, isn't it?

Nice that you played a major portion on place and that too at an attractive 18/10. I had bet for close to 25 years before giving up racing altogether. I may never return to don the roll of a punter but enjoy joining the club like this. Don't want to confuse anyone. If I find a genuine horse, will certainly present the prospects here. That's all. Even my choice was to play breaking bounds for each way and it is obviously a clear winner if it was a better jockey than shahar Babu. In that race all reknowned jockeys of Ooty race had mount and trainer has no other option to go other than shahar Babu. I played place in 18/10 and did win n edged with shp too.but major portion was on place due to jockey.

    I never said that it's a terms race? I watched 'Breaking Bounds' run last time and was taken aback. What a run it was! On any account, it should have won its next outing. But then, I know what happens in racing and that's why I advocated playing it for PLACE as a safe bet. The animal, I was told, quoted 6/1 and above in the ring which means it should have offered at least evens to 1-1/2 for place. You can't ask for anything in Ooty races. Thank you
