You are confused & negative in thought. You  your self has selected an I'd which is negative.

First of all be confident & possitive in thinking. As  Mr. S C Sharma himself says a successful punter should have little knowledge to select among selection (s).

Right from the first day of Bangalore Summer Season , I have been studying his selection with my pointers and almost every day I have got minimum one (SOLO) bet or two (ROLL) bets.  In last 6 days I played 9 selection for WIN & I am happy to say that 7 have won 

Be Possitive & Have Confidence in your self. Then you will be small-well to do - punter. REGATDS

Number of questions raised and doubts expressed about betting on lesser odds horses or horses offered odds below evens. I clarified this point in my post in very clear terms play equal amount of betting on all the tips ( means day’s best or recommended good for betting horses ) of your favourite tipster, whome you trust more. In one of the para it is also clearly mentioned that if the tipped horse offered more than evens for win or place, than only go for betting. Anyone can try this for ten twenty bets of his favourite tipster with small amount on equal amount of betting system (irrespective of the odds, based on above conditions) and ascertain win-success ratio ? This theory will not disappoint punters.

Mr Sharma, I believe that every tip/selection comes with a risk , and to help  being profitable the odds to make the bet worth while SHOULD be mentioned, this gives the punters a risk reward understanding.

For Example if you were to say War Hammer DAYS BEST , would that mean at any odds ? 

I will LAY my own DAYS BEST if the odds appear to be of meagre value, this is so because the chances of success MUST be more than the RISK in terms of monetary value.

Since you have studied the race and have come to a conclusion that horse A seems to be the best horse for that race, the minuim required odds to be a worhtwhile BET is known to you and not to others who follow you.

In other words, when asked about a choice of mine I would say bet at 1 1/2 and over OR can be LAYED upto 70/80 paise, this gives a better picture to the followers and does not have them taking chances at wrong odds. It also gives them an Idea on how much to risk .I also say the more the odds the more the bet ( restriction apply vis a vis connections/ color )

I also like to read the reasons / logic statements given by others .

As an example , I find that the tipster of HINDU relies more on track work, to predict ( this is my observations for years ) if I like a horse for its track work and it is NOT in the choices of the paper. I rethink.

I am merely trying to suguest to you and not to preach, so please take this is that sprit.

I taught and was very confident on roll bet for IMPAVID and WAR HAMMER. 

I did bet on IMPAVID 1L at 60/100, but for roll on WAR HAMMER gave a taught at ring, as there was serious competition with, HUNT FOR GOLD & MISSING YOU. and when I saw a bookie giving 12/10 for place on MISSING YOU, I taught of value bet atleast place and enrolled it and filled disappointment.

You seem to be winning a lot of admirers here and it's understandable as your picks (and tips?) mostly click. That you give your selections well ahead of others is another special quality found in you.

I very much agree with you that race-goers must be very careful in choosing a race for betting. Only because someone gives a particular horse as "Day's Best" it doesn't mean that others must take it for granted. Over the last 30 years or so, I have seen "very good" pciks and tips biting the dust, forcing a large number of punters into the drain.

No source, be it newspapers, online or we punters, can continue to predict winning and placing horses consistently. This is an open fact. Sometimes our calculations go right and the outcome comes correct. However, during a season most of our predictions are bound to go wrong and that's the beauty of horse racing.

The picks and tips that are being shared by friends here are only to drive home the point that every animal participating in a given race has its own set of advantages and disadvantages to win or lose. On Saturday and Sunday, a large number of our friends predicted "Sahara" and "Slovenia" respectively to win hands down but that did not happen.

Similarly, picking a horse sitting at home is an easy job when compared to taking money out of your pocket and betting in the ring or tote. The moment the odds on our preferred horse drifts or shrinks, we think twice. On the other hand, if money starts pouring on some other horse all of a sudden, such a development also puts breaks on our action. There are many such factors that influence our final decision.

To overcome all these odds and return home a winner is not at all an easy for a punter. Even if he wins one day, the bookies know very well that is only temporary and their turn is very much round the corner. Finally, when Tsunami hits, many of us go unnoticed. This is what has been witnessed in horse racing ever since it started and if anyone claims that "I am winning in racing regularly by applying my own technique", he must be the biggest lier in the world!

Your picks most of the times are accurate is not the only thing but the amount of confidence you evoke among fellows is also noteworty,  I mention to say that my theory is only to have one or two best bets of the day but to select that also one needs to consider many a things.  Since the inception of Bangalore summer season I too posted my choices normally tips only rarely I would pick my picks but thanks to you for consolidating my confidence.  I wish to mention so far my betting tips which I backed though not much coz I dont go to the course and send someone to play b:

Banglore 1st day: Knotty Ash

Day 2 :   Anjeze   &   Arabia

Day  3:    Cosmic Ray  ( could not back)

Day  4:    Tutunkhamun  &  La Rondine ( La Rondine last min I didnot back as I was taking Isn't she Lovely v serious contender)

Day 5:    Tico Rico  &  Watch my script

Day 6:    Impavid   &  War Hammer

When self believe is low you cannot back your tips also.  When there is a confilct of choices I prefer to stick to mine so that I dont blame others.  For me the most oustanding bet till date is & was Knotty Ash & ANJEZE.  Knotty Ash could play only place coz of opening day but then ANJEZE also couldnot play substantial amount coz of various picks & tips which influence & biggest influence is of odds..  My humble suggestion is to have a different topic only mentioning TIP/S preferably one or two for the day.  You can start a thread on TIP OF THE DAY. 

Thanks once again Sharma Ji for the invaluable contribution towards the fellow punters.  Request you to mention in case of a TIP if the odds are cramped as low as 20 paise to 50 paise what should be done ( of course the owners/ trainers / jockeys & books are ready to make the most of it) .
