Until the Karnataka Juvenile Million race was run on Sunday, for a majority of even the seasoned punters 'winner picking' proved a tough task. However, after 'War Hammer' won the race quite convincingly, the issue has now been put beyond doubt and the winner is likely going to be heard more and more in the near future. But what about the performance of many others, partcularly 'Kariega', who was expected to give a good account in the race? Despite Akshay Kumar's best efforts, the animal appeared totally disinclined to move to the fore and preferred to always remain in the ruck, and also finish so. I read in these columns a good number of race-goers predicting a commendable run from this horse and, therefore, this run is incredible.
