Back to listsIs It Still Possible To Make Money By Betting On All Races?
By Chanakya Kaushik | 25-Jun-2019It has been universally believed that by betting on selectively on few- 2 or 3 races a punter can become a winner over a period ( month, season or more) ...
But by betting on ALL RACES OF THE DAY it is not possible to become a winner - is also an age-old belief -most of the punters, experts and analysts believe.
I want to prove them wrong....
I've already proved them wrong by betting 'on all races' of the day during current Bangalore season which ia almost halfway through and I intend to do it for the remaining part of the season by winning ; while BETTING ON ALL THE RACES OF THE DAY!
MY SELECTIONS WILL BE POSTED ONLY 20 TO 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIRST RACE ON THIS SITE...

02-Jul-2019Bangalore season is halfway through and we have progressed well by betting on ALL THE RACES OF THE DAY.
FOLLOWING IS THE SUMMARY OF OUR EFFORTS.
To calculate my winnings I would have preferred Mumbai odds , but to prove that even closing odds of BOL race book available everywhere ,also give enough returns , here I'll use closing odds of BOL to satisfy DOUBTING THOMASES!
First day there were 7 races and I played 1,3,4,5,6,7 races..
the returns were 17/4,8/10,1,3/2, 8-2, 8-17/4-1 giving me a lead of 16 1/4 points..
Second day I played races no 2,3,4,5,6,7 and got a profit of 8 1/4-5= 3 1/4 units.
Third and fourth day I lost 4 3/4 and 4 3/4 units reducing my gain to 10 points.
5th. & 6th day I was plus by only 1/4 and 1/2 points.
7th. & 8th day I was plus by 5 1/2 and 5 units.
9th. day I lost 11 1/4 points but on 10th day I was plus by 1 1/2 points.
11th. day I lost 5 3/4 points but on 12th. day I won 18 1/2 points.
On 13th day I won 4 points.
Therefore, after exactly half season my winnings gave me 28 1/4 points which becomes more than Rs. 56,000 if converted to money.
I hope to increase it to 100,000 by the end of the season.
wait and watch...

01-Jul-2019@ Auriga,
My choice/selections are given on my blog and the result - profit or loss you can calculate from the closing odds given by COLE/BOL/VEL racebooks.
Remember - if you are a serious punter; winnings are counted only after a period- a month, aseason or a year. Every day's win/loss has no meaning and relevance...

29-Jun-2019@ all,
Bangalore season is exactly halfway through and my exercise/experiment/betting has reached a milestone which will become a millstone around the neck of a parallel thread. As a response to an earlier thread by GP, I started posting my selections to prove my conviction that with a backup of good system and method it is STILL possible to win by betting on ALL RACES OF THE DAY!
13 days racing is over, 92 races were run; my selections were posted before the races were run and I can claim that by betting on ALL RACES of the day I’ve won a substantial amount . As usual someone is going to ask the proof.
Proof?
Taking the closing odds published in a race book called BOL, betting on all the races of the day, I have won more than 25+ units after deducting the losing bets.
My betting unit is 2000 and I’ve won more than 50K ( from 18/5/19 to 29/6/19 about 1 ½ months) and I hope to end the season with a win of 100K.

27-Jun-2019@ all,
This exercise or adventure ( many will say that) is an attempt tp prove that a good handicapping system and a modified format of betting can enable a handicapper to get POSITIVE ROI , even if he bets on ALL races of the day.
This is neither a challenge to anybody nor an invitation to follow my selections.
Till now , almost half of the season is over - 12 race days are over my ROI is very good, inspite of betting on ALL RACES, and I hope to retain the same till end of the season; though earlier I wanted to stop after 1/2 of the season i.e. on 30/6/19.
Any body who has a doubt about my winnings can even use the odds offered by Bangalore or Hyderabad bookies, which are readily available in BOL oe VEL resultbooks.
Im not going to spoonfeed these doubting Thomases...

27-Jun-2019Betting and winning in all races is impossible. If one can do that, he need not earn money elsewhere. He can straightaway come to racecourse daily.
In 1980's races were won for pride by owners and trainers. Now, it is entirely different. One has to be cautious before entering betting arena.
Select 3 to 4 races per day, have a deep study in all the 3 races( avoid seeing records of other races which you have striked out ) wait patiently for your race to come.
Encouraging the punters to play all the races is not advisable because even our sure shots have only 40% chances of winning.

26-Jun-2019Firstly racing is hypnotic and one needs to attend all races in order to know the running of the horse and betting trend.you can make a killing provided you study, odds, market and need to have 75 %luck on your side.like horses for the cource for instance in Hyderabad you get good odds for suraj to Trevor unlike other sources, you need to have an ear to the ground, racing in Bangalore is easy, next best is Mumbai.overall 80 %punters loose and 20 % of punters party after winning and as all punters know the inherent risks in racing they take the drinK before entering the course.racing experience comes from years of experience.

Your reaction is appreciable!
I support his statement of winning possibilties and not his betting action, return on investment and his ultimate winning success. It raises my eyebrows!

26-Jun-2019Many people's in this forum contribute lot of things. Some even says they play and win every races. One thing all members must understand that no punters r fool. They all experienced and knowledge. Secondly present days are not for punters to win on Merit, handicap, jockey etc it's totally controlled by Owners,Trainers, bookies. Some one told abt Sahara , but he failed to understand that this time the horse was running on promotion.then how it had chances?
There are instances where ist second third favorites horses not even made to Board. In such races punters who or how big he may be but end up in loss.there are instances even 50 paise for place money horse not even finished in the board.
So it's not study, workout etc it's need luck also. I went to course with 50k to play only Be safe. Waited till that race and unfortunately races earlier had my calculations winning, placing.but I didn't cared once I lay my bet on Besafe entire money gone. Had I played earlier races wud have made big money. It's fate.
Its every individual punters to decide and play as per his mind. If he gain he is lucky if not it's bad luck. I also ask a question to these big writers how much they earned in betting in their life time? 1 crore? 10 lakhs? I m in racing since 1970 not a big punter earlier days but untill this day I earned 7 lakhs and lost 15 lakhs. But I like this sport than anything else. If race is run on its merit nobody can beat me in selections.

26-Jun-2019@ DIK,
Raceclubs, trainers, jockeys may have some understanding among themselves does not affect a good handicapper to identify a likely winner.
you have to develope that knack.
@ SUN,
welcome back after a long absence.
I'm sure you are conversant with fluctuating odds in the ring and also must be aware that the odds on a favorite usually ( not always) drop down as the starting time comes closer...
You may also be aware that odds differ from bookie to bookie and from center to center( Bangalore may offer different odds than Hyderabad).....
Even then , while I compute my win/loss based on Mumbai odds , which always were better than othe centers; for a change - just for technical discussion; I've computed my returns based on BOL racebook's CLOSING ODDS (far below actual odds) and the net result shows that I am PLUS BY 20 UNITS !
You may consider one unit as a tenner or 1000 or 2000 ( my basic unit).
Remember, I'm betting on ALL races of the day and many times on 2 or 3 runners in the SAME RACE!
My choice is posted on my blog (now on this forum too) and I play only win, rarely place and unit is 2000...

26-Jun-2019@ Raghavan,
I have been not active on HT for sometime but when I see a post from Chanakya it is very interesting to follow your posts on the topic through which you want to bring his post to a logical conclusion.
You have asked for lots of information to arrive at his Winnings but you forgot the most important point the Odds he got.He is not agrreable to compute Winning amount with Tote Dividends.Normally he bets on a horse at its peak Odds without exception and some people were in utter disbelief that how he could get such Odds.
If Chanakya Saab is listening let me announce on this forum his choices,Type and amount of bet (need not be on all races a big concession) and show that he made profit for the rest of the season.

26-Jun-2019kolramsri,
Thanks. I really need it.
Jays,
Yes, I'll continue.
Krish,
In this exercise, my betting will be only on FIRST number of a race and not on others. But when I put 2 or 3 or 4 numbers within bracket, e.g. (3 8 5) my unit bet will be ON ALL THE 3 NUMBERS.
Chanakya said ...
26-Jun-2019@ Roger,
I'll post before the first race, maybe 20 to 40 minutes before the first race.
Full Moon,
thanks. I'll continue till end of season and hope to proved right...
S C Sharma,
I'm neither doing self- praise nor challenging anybody. I'm trying to bring out the 'hidden' facts only; nor I want compliments or rewards from anybody...
I'm just trying to prove wrong an age old belief that betting on all races will lead to loss; I may succeed or fail only will be known at the end of the experiment. At the moment I've positive ROI...

26-Jun-2019Sanjay,
Thanks for your good wishes.
SSPP,
I appreciate your point of view. But I feel you have not understood my point. By betting on 2 or 3 races it is possible to get a positive ROI - most of punters will agree. By betting on EVERY race it is not possible - everybody thinks like that. My effort is to show that it may be possible to get positive ROI even by betting on ALL races.

26-Jun-2019Nobody in the world can make money by playing all the races. I had experience of more than 40 years in racing field. It is highly impossible task of making money by playing all the races. Chanakyaji I can challenge with you in this regard. If it is the case then post your selections well in advance and mention your bettings for at least one month.

26-Jun-2019Dear
Chanukya
Really i like your opinion but i would like to say about tipsters
Step:1 The race run by race club , and the race club have a control
Step:2 Trainers have tai up with the bookies
Step:3 Jockies also tai up with bookies
Now how to tell the merit hourse should be win ,
all the race should be gamble , so betting punter s please be care full when you bet the feverate hourse .
Tipster s not able to give the correct winnig hourse , so all the betting punters play the race has your mind set

26-Jun-2019Small still poor punter,
As far as I can see, Chanakya has only stated that he has won. He has not given the name of the horse, the odds offered and the returns he got.
So do not go to the extent of congratulating him. If he is a winner and you want to say one or two good words, at least ask for the amount he won!
Do not expect any reasnable response from Chanakya.
Fooling you, Photofinish,
Chanakya expects everyone to believe him and no body should ask him any cross questions.
Full moon, Jays:
Best of luck to you.
First Chanakya has to prove that he is winner! That is he should furnish the list of his successful bets/odds.
If you believe that one can be on winning side in spite of betting all races in a day, you can definitely follow Chanakya! But, I go by the wisdom of race analysts; not Chanakya, even if Kailas-vasi Parameshwara gives tips, I will not bet on all races.
Krish,
You are a tipster with reasonable strike rate. I do not think you require support of Chanakya.
Kolramsri,
I think you have stopped betting!
S C Sharmaji,
Chanakya is a man with high level of head weight. It is the readers who should appreciate his work. But, we see that he is himself the biggest bluff master.
Anyway I am happy that there are some people at horsetalk who call spade a spade!

Yes. Each & every race clubs provides oppotunity to make money not only playing WIN but also in SHP & THP. I also prefer to bet 2 horses with good odds leaving suspicious favorites. For example, In the field of 10 horses your winning chances are 1: 10 whereas by playing 2 horses winning chance increase to 1:5. Remeber by playing 2 horses your winning odds reduced by 1 no problem you do not have control over odds.

25-Jun-2019Well. Good luck to Chanakya.
He posts only 20/30 minutes before the start of the first race! Why so much haste? He can post leisurely.
Except Bangalore, at all other centers mobile phone charges are prohibitive. So, it is not possible for anyone to read or bet on his selections. So far so good. We thank Almighty for such small mercies.
But, I believe one can count minimum of 10 lakhs if one bets on all races in a day. The only problem is one should start with one crore at the start of the season.
Chanakya says he has proved wrong the observation of so many pundits, race analysts that it shall not possible to be on winning side if one bets all races. The said race analysts have proved conclusively that it shall always be preferable to not be bullish in all races. And the one who bets in all races will certainly be hauled up with bankruptcy charges.
He is posting his selections in his own blog. Realising that there are very few or nil visitors to his blog he is again trying to show off his so called talent/aptitude in this site.
Well. If he wants to make himself a laughing stock, no one can stop him.
A message to indiarace/horsetalk members. Do not be reassured by such bluff masters. Bet only in limited number of races. Say 2 or 3. That too the amount you can afford to lose. If you win from those limited bets, enjoy the bonus. If, on the other hand, your bets proved not rewarding, no problem. There is always next day's racing.
Of course, it is your money , your decision and your bet! If you feel srongly on any horse in every race, no one can stop you from betting. But, my only point is it should be your conviction, your decision. Not the one peddled by a man whose track record is THE WORST.
Kolkata, Pune & Hyderabad start from next month. Delhi may start from Mid-August or early September. Please ensure that you do not run out of cash.
Chanakya is not a stranger to this site. If he has indeed proved that his selections in his own blog were sure shot money spinners, then he could have as well posted those selections in advance in this site itself.
At least let him say what were his winning bets, odds thereon, in the 70 races conducted so far at BNG in this season. I will demolish his claim. There should be some limit to stupid talks.

25-Jun-2019Chanakya Koushik: With due respect and best wishes, I would like to submit that HT forum is not for self praise or for creating sensation or for making any challenge or for creating headlines. It is a place for bringing hidden facts out and share real information and updates and experiences for the benefit of readers and horselovers and in turn readers leave no space or corner to appereciate and compliment you if you are successful and deserving. If you carry your work with sincerity, responsibility, dedication and transparency, you will definitely be rewarded and complimented beyond belief but leave this job for readers.
My thanks to Rajaraman, Godzilla, VenkateswarluGupta, Vision, Ramesh, Chandulal, Mak-95 and Any, for expressing their valuable views freely.

25-Jun-2019Mr Chanakya Kaushik, First let me congratulate you for maintaining the winning streak all through the Bengaluru season despite playing all the races. However, what I did not like was your unwanted statement that "I will prove" (that it's possible to win so for the entire season). What you want to prove and to whom? Please dont take racing so seriously because it will be very hard to retrieve yourself when things start going tbe opposite way. Why it's generally suggested that one must play only selected races is because by doing so you reduce the proportion of losing, and avoid playing races that look confused.
