Practical Live Test For Handicap Analysis

Dear friends

Here is the live example of 5 horses which ran together in Mysore races for the same distance of 1600 mtrs on 5th June and 26th June.Ship rock.sherlock.country music.crescendo, Towering storm.

Handicap wise no difference between Ship rock ,Sherlock,crescendo on these 2 days ,but Towering storm is running with 5kgs up and country music 2 kgs up.

After looking at the video of these horses running a on 5th June , I thought crescendo has better chance for win on 26 the June and backed it .so many people in this forum might have done like me .but we know the results now , some people gave the ship rock for win also.

Please kindly analyse this two situation s and give your opinions , so it will be helpful for everyone.

Good race for post race analysis. We are all wise in hind sight. Still analysis will bring out different angles to the decoding of the Race Puzzle.

Crescendo was the logical choice. Consistent. A coming from.behind attempt at the finish second inspite of a bit of traffic problem.  The clue was the change of jockey. After a hard race the connections may have reason to bring down the handicap. So no show.

The same with country.music. had a race after 5 the June on 12 The over 1400. Again jockey change. Attempt is seen as bringing down the handicap. 

On the contrary Shiprick was a class I import from Mumbai. Had an educative run over 1400. Tested on 5 the June over 1600 when the horse was prominent till entering the straight. Big name owner( Mysore loves big names) Same competent Jockey with an allowance, A.S.Peter. 

We missed that one.
