With Juno’s guest gone attention will now be split among Lesrel and Dandi march with little bit of interest for Jetfire. Jetfire took 15 runs for a win so I am not expecting a repeat on promotion. Dandi though lost out to stable mate did not look fluent enough considering its Mumbai’s form plus was wondering why tongue strap for horse which has run well without it and draw 13 everything looks negative. Lesrel is coming from bottom class and does not compare well with my new selection ARC SHINE when they met in Mumbai. If ignoring its last start where start got bit messed up ARC SHINE has not done too bad since winning the same class. With new born Imran engaged I am expecting an all-out effort 10 mounts ( 3 wins and 4 2nds)

1-MORISEIKI only one in the field which handicapper thinks above average. A grade 3 runner with A. Imran Khan himself preparing for the first appearance of the season. Sedgefield has produced some nice stayers so 2000 should not be a worrying factor.

2-VULCAN is a class one winner below his winning mark with run benefit under his belt should be the one to beat but definitely not a race to be involved betting wise 3/4 are interlinked horses

3-Not even one runner fits in my request understandably since this is for horses which have run and not placed 2nd or 3rd. Its 3.30 P.M take a good break have a cup of coffee and if possible don’t even watch this race
 

4-Hells Bells having won back to back races faces with a tough penalty so looks doubtful in spite of being a failed favourite in higher class. Arabian storm is a same class winner below its winning mark however loses out in comparison with Aberlour in form line of Sassy lass race. Altamaash requested to open an enquiry on Amit’s riding on Aberlour now gets stable rider. AURORA AUSTRALIS could be the one to pick out of four has better weights compared to Aberlour on the form line of Kingsman race in Mumbai and has got a tremendous record over course and distance 4 runs 2 wins 1 second 1 third. Had a decent opener placed 3rd among youngsters. Since I don’t find any same class winners with higher class advantage looking good for win going for option B which is Lower class winners pending in this class

5-Lightly raced 4-year-old JUNO’S GUEST is the only runner fitting in my box withdrawn on 26th July from a class 2 race due to some medical reason is unbeaten over the sprint trips if ignoring maiden run under Baria. Won a mock race under Trevor effortlessly so fitness does not seem to be a problem. It looks so perfect that I am making it as my DAYS BEST

6-Lagad seems to be the pattern in lower classes races at pune so among his runners I find WINDSOR FORTUNE fit in my box that’s one hell of a breed with this dud trainer managed to place for first time in the opening race, last run is best ignored since stewards questioned the indifferent handling. Choice of rider is questionable, but I would still think its turn of this horse this week among Lagad’s batch

1-2 ITHACA - Ran 2nd behind stablemate in very heavy condition over a mile where it came from almost last. Extra 400m will suit. Eat Elation if favorite. Turaco by Lawman is the next best.

2-3 FRIVOLOUS - Ran well last time with shrikant Kamble on board was a shd/nk 3rd. Don’t miss the opportunity this time, Win is due. I am sure you will get decent odds.

3-5 ATHULYA - Ran well to finish 3L behind the winner over 1200m, extra 200m will suit. By Phoenix Tower and CS in the saddle+ maiden race.

Race No:1 Ithaca(2): Looks impressive in recent trials. Same jockey is retained. This time all set to clear its maiden. Don't ignore Turaco(7) , might turn the table with the final bending position.

Race No: 2 Raees(1).

Race No:3 Athulya(5): Showed a vast improvement in the tracks. Will surely going to put a bold show in this maiden race. A good each way chance.

Race No: 4 Aurora Australis(5):  Last time came from behind finishing at third position. This time extra 2 furlong to travel which will definitely help to improvise. Don't neglect # Gandalf(12) going in the bottom weight with an  allowance jockey a plus point and always shows improving position at low weight with final bending. A very good place prospect.

Race No: 5 Juno's guest(2) Stands tall here with some emphatic wins and going with the top rider is deifinitely the one to be beaten. As #Jet Fire(12) facing a penalty still looks a tough contender in this handicap. Don't ignore. 

Race No: 6 Grand Architect(7): Has been well tracked and will definitely  try to finish in the  first three position.

What you said?  That your selections are finishing 2nd & 3rd!  You take comfort.  Many people are experiencing much more horrible scenarios:

They bet for win.  Horse finished second.

They bet win/shp.  Horse finishes 3rd.

They bet win/place.  Hrse finishes 4th or board out.

In desperation they "eat".  Horse wins by distance.

Almost all puters are experiencing this.  And they will be experiencing this in future also.

So, the only way to survive is by cutting losses.  Never bet 100/- more than what you can afford to lose.  There is no shame in betting low.  Race course will be there till our and next generation people's life time.

I am confused.  Could not understand your statement "today I backed 3:8 1100 win and 44044004400 place".

Just one request.  Can you please say which horse you backed (better mention the name of the horse) and how much you backed it for place!  I think your bet was 1100 for win and 4400 for place in race 3, horse no 8.  But, it shall be always better if you mention the name of the horse in your post/s.

I think you expect horsetalk members to reassure you about your proposed bets.  It is a delicate question.  We can not recommend you either to go ahead.  OR we can not scare you by mentioning other horses that have better place chances.

So, let me put it this way.  You have mentioned that you are willing to bet 11,000.  Think it again.  11000 is a decent sum & normally I do not bet so high.  My bets are only on forecast.

Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad & Mysore are the centers that will make you lakhpathi or pauper in one day's betting.   In any case, if you are inclined to bet, then consider betting a lower amount.  Say 1100/- on all the three horses.

Once you gain confidence about your study, you can increase your bet amount.  Today, some stranger thought that it is pick up money and his bet was 8,800/- for place on Actually.  @ 55/100.    Poor chap.  Horse finished a miserable 4th!
