Veteran trainer celebrated his 100th birthday two days back. My Pranams to him!!
The Hindu news paper had extensively covered his birth day celebrations graced by All racing fraternity. Zavary Poonawalla remembers his horse winning Pune First Derby under the care if Uttam Singh. I also remember that his horse owned by S M Ruia Vinys de Milo won Bangalore Invitation during 1968/69. Pepsi also showers many of Uttamsiing achievements. Everybody affectionately call him Fillies Trainer coz he had knack of training Fillies then any other trainers.
Long Live Uttam Singh ji!!

A great horse master and a legendary trainer. His command on Indian fillies Classic at Mahalaxmi was such that no champion trainer or filly could beat his ward. Marchetta won the Indian Oaks and the champion filly Snow came back lame , chasing & fighting Uttam Singh's five filles.Long live Uttamji

LONG LIVE UTTAM SINGJI,
The great filly specialist had the best record on fillies events. I used to play in filly races without seeing the track record, his horses and many times made good money. .
Long live Siri. .
