Right.  But, whether it is private enterprises or Government enterprises, they can not act according to the whims and fancies of the stewards.  They are supposed to at least tell the public, why they have not conducted HYD race betting today;  OR how or why they are not running the IVB of Delhi races tomorrow.

(however delhi races of 24th have been cancelled).

They doe not owe explanation legally.  That is right. The public relations exercise need not worry whether they are legally supposed to do this or do not do this.

 Ambarish died.  Club was closed.  We Bangaloreans will be knowing reasons for cancellations.  Valid reason.

As Suresh P S said, today's cancellation was for valid reason.  My point is this is not defence of India secret.  Instead of  saying 'administrative reasons'  they could be a little forthcoming.

A good number of punters heartily welcome such holidays.  Such holidays are blessing in disguise.   I am not at all faulting their cancelling races.  I am only annoyed at the management being tight lipped about the reason.

I think it's beyond the powers of a punter to question the decision of a club, or I feel so. After all, a race club is a private firm and its decisions cannot be questioned, particularly when it's about entertaining an IVB or not on a particular day.

No one has the right to demand what "administrative works" the club has to do on that day to keep away from IVB. All such powers are discretionary and the club doesn't owe an explanation whatsoever to the racing public.

The lone option before the "I want to play at any cost" punter is to take a bus or train to Mysore or Chennai and donate some funds to that club and come back??

No problem  one day to miss Hyderabad race  their  r so many races in a month  it has to be  reduced  to  weekends only other wise raceing  will  loose  its charm  as it is no charm  in racing  simply  racing people  r not interested  just because of  addiction 60% people  r coming  rest is New comers Hope the management  should  reduce  the  raceing  days 

When  we see the turnover  of BTC it indicates  the interest  of members of club
