I dont think you have seen the video of the Race or the riding of Excelsior by Afroz Khan or the commentry. Afroz again had a problem with stir up. Watch the video and then write on the subject.

This msg is for Godzilla and others who tipped or played Excelsior for win.

First of all I really feel sorry for your poor understanding of Hyd races where 3year old winners and 3year old non-winners are participating in the same race.

I have repeatedly emphasised in this forum that in Hyderabad, it is most sensible to avoid playing 3year old non-winners in handicap races, where 3year old winners are also running, regardless of the former's earlier good runs and current low handicap.   They will rarely win, keep this fact clearly in mind, as it will save you a lot of grief, not to speak of the enormous amount saved by not playing them.   3year old non-winners can of course win in races for maidens.

This is exactly what happened to Excelsior.   Incidentally, the 1st 3 places in this race were occupied by earlier winning 3year olds !!!

Hope better sense will prevail in such races.

Today it was a better pleasant day for punters going in for place bets.though good to come following king Lucifer and wish all punters their better best luck for next races.

1-9 TOP IN TURF - Is the best in the lot in this maiden race. First run with AA Vikrant was ok for the trainer to bring in Akshay to ride. No form to go by for any other runner. Therefore TIT.

2-2 ROLL CALL - Is a small filly by Whatsthescript with a big heart. Ran in Bangalore and Hyderabad G1 races behind Well connected in Fillies G1 over 1600. Came from last to finish 5.5L behind Well Connected. Might go the extra 400m. Has to beat Francis Bacon.

3-3 GUSTY NOTE - By Gusto. Needed a run after a long gap of 7 months. Ran well from the word go till last 150m and left it. This time should go wire to wire. My DAYS BEST!

4-2 GALLOPING GANGSTER - By Declaration of War. First run itself was very very impressive. Won on canter. Extra 200m will be easy going. Paso Robles and Queen Runner will fight for minors.

5-3 LONG RANGE - Won well in higher class over 1400m, is a 4yr old. Even though running with top weight will defy the penalty travelling 200m less. Has to beat Mozambique running in higher class and is 5yr old.

6-9 WAH MS ZARA - Nothing special about this filly except Suraj riding. Keep an eye on new comers. You can give benefit of a run.
