Calcutta today did not go according to expectations of many tipsters here.  I will mention one of the reasons. This is meant to be humourous and no offence to anyone is intended.

Several people had soft corner for Princess Rumela but some tipsters spelt her name with with a double 'l'. That upset the filly and she decided not to put her best foot forward and finished out of money.

In fourth race, one gentleman expected Glorious Heaps to win. That gentleman landed on a heap because horse did not win.

In sixth race there was recommendation for Pathos and Potus. Pathos surely followed because Bharat Singh's runner ran last.

Aunty Boy, Dilmonge more and Lepard Creek were other horses wounded by mispelt names and did not oblige. Elusive Wave was the choice many but because he was also called Elusive Way and Exclusive Wave he also sulked and finished only second.

I am still trying to figure out # 5 in 7th race called 'sheets.'

Hi All,

1-6 HURRICANE STORM - Won well over 1100m beating most of them Montecasino, Midnight Magic, Aunty's Boy...who ran close and with chances again. HS now running extra 100m with Akshay called to ride is a positive sign + will suit the distance. Should repeat with extra weight.

2-9 PRINCESS RUMELA - Knocking on the door for quite sometime and the time is come to see the winning post. Beaten by Gaurish 3yr old in last run and now running with 5yr+ company. Excellent chance.

3-1 TIA QUEEN - Tried different distances, ran with better horses but in vain and come back to a shorter distance and in running in a lowest category with weight advantage. Has to beat Itsamoocow, which is a small filly.

4-1 STORM FRONT - Last two runs 3-3 and was 2L ahead of Demonstrate and last run was in a higher class. Now running a class down with -3kg advantage. Glorious Leap is sure to place.  

5-7 FIRE OPAL - Won very well last race over 1800m. Now running 200m less in a higher category, but has weight advantage of 6.5Kg. Is the only 4yr old in the race and shall repeat with same jockey retained to ride.

6-1 LORD OF THE SEA - Was 3L behind Whomakestherules last week over 1800m. just had two runs this season and booking of Neeraj is a positive sign that Owners wants this cup. Cold Frontier can come close or is the only danger.

7-9 BEATRIX - Last run 3rd was behind Constance and Ajeet over 2000m. Was in the front bunch and then fell back and came back with a late run to finish 3rd. This is a open race and 1-26 category. I would say have a eachway small bet on Beatrix.
