Aluminum Or Steel

This is a new and very important and interesting topic., Which , I need to get to the notice of senior, experienced, active participant.

The general practice, I have found is that the moment the trainer or owner goes for steel shoe, maximum of betters or punter just avoid ,the horse, and in the last one week , I have found the horses with steel shoes, were on the board and at longer odds, disturbing the whole calculation..

Please post your personal experiences.so that all can know....

Kolkata Derby day. Race no. 96. Horse No. 11. The stradle win RS. 285. P RS.57. jockey. Hindu Singh.

Race no.97. horse no.6 CAIDEN, Win .85. pla. 12.

Race.no. 100. Horse no. 7 shivesh . Odds 15/2.

Again on 01.10.2019. Muddasar Nazar mounted two horses., With steel shoe and both were on board At higher odds.

In olden times, 19th & 20th. centuries the racing theoriticians used to say : ' an ounce (Oz.) on a feet is equal to a stone (14 lbs.) on the back of a runner ( horse)' ...

They had lot of time and experience to frame some of popular rules unlike today's experts wo neither have time nor the expertise...

Aluminium plate is 50 to 60% lighter than a steel plate but wears out much faster than a steel plate....

Another serious point - Al plates are lighter but smooth while steel plates are heavier but bit rugged and rough.... During rainy season or when it rains during races a steel plate gives better GRIP of the ground than a aluminium plate...

The connections have to decide which plate to use during July to October...

Waste of time talking about Aluminum or Steel shoes. Days will not be far some one using golf cap on horse head. Then there will be discussion about with cap or without. Thanks.

This theory is not applicable for kolkata races. It is mostly applicable in mysore and bangalore races.kolkata is the worst of all clubs.

Latest EXAMPLE YESTERDAY IS ALL IN WINNING IN STEEL AT LONGOR ODDS BUT ON LAST RUN IT WAS IN ALUMINUM WITH ODDS OF SOMEWHERE AROUND 4

Sir majority of the trainers opt for aluminum only. .. In steel it happens in Kolkata and some trainers in mysore.... This is not a new topic. .. Whoever enters in the racing first they will learn about shoe only. .

Its just a theory that Steel shoes are heavier than Aluminum. So running with heavy shoes is a discomfort for horses...it doesnt mean horse cannot win. Just understand the race fixtures. I made a choice of The stradlle even with steel shoes...when I enter betting ring...played small amount place, bcous others were backed....Racing would be boring without these kind of tactics.. Please remember when a race is formed ... All the runners have a chance to win. ????

It is just to fool the punters and confuse them ,trainers do that ,so on longer odds they do not play ,they usually say giving run and get away with it
