  Novices  who  keep  sifting mails  and  opinions and  then  shifting their own need  sympathy  and  pity. Better  would  be  to  ignore  their  existence...

Just observed that Chanakya had tipped 7 6 for the Derby.   Saying something prior to race time, and preaching something else post results, tantamounts to hypocrisy and deceit on his part.   Hence, I withdraw the opening sentence of my msg posted yesterday at 02.57pm.

The horse which won in record time in Mysore have not won next race if you have doubt then check the history...

Fellow Horse Lovers,

    I have during the entire year tipped two horses thru this forum. Pune Derby and Mysore Derby and it gives me heart that in both these races i had only offered one horse each after much deliberation --- and happy to note that both have  were winners in their races..

  I have been in racing for last 42 years and my surmise is if not a compulsive punter on each race centres for all races then picking up horses minutinely observing the evolution of each horse over a period of time with stats provide a true colour of the ouitcome. I am not brooding over anything where i can shout "Eureka Eureka' but consistent observation and limiting exercises of betting impulsively in races shall help in saving a lot of money for pnters.

   Most horse lovers are impulsive bettors or have an inner craving to bet overlooking certain factors which contribute to their losses. We can curtail losses by restricting our bets on n numbers of races for any centre.

  Finally the credential on which I could horne out the outcome of the winner in the above derby---

   Horses Trouville and Southern Ruler were observed and their track work noted over the period of their racing. Trouville and Soutern Ruler were placed in races with light track work or no track  but before the derby there were marked mprovents in their track work showing potential for winning whereas for rest the same were not observed. This may not be the deciding factor for winning all races but certainly in black type races this has been observed to be the defining factor.

Some are comparing that MALWA and STAR CAVALRY finished ahead of the " RULER" but just see how the Guineas was run.SOUTHERN RULER was ridden to ground by sinath and that was his undoing.i had mentioned in my post to members the same thing that SUPREME RULEE was ridden to ground,if waited with and given a patient ride it will WIN and that is what happens.

SUPREME RULER was,clearly the best in the bunch followed by SQ THE CRCLE and that's how they were tipped and finished

What Chanakya says about Southern Ruler, Winner of Mysore Derby is 100% correct.  I agree with him.

    ROBERTA was worked 10 times in 18 days before Indian St. Leger and lost the race. COSMIC RAY was not worked before Mysore Derby and lost the race. ROBERTA is trained by Pesi Shroff and COSMIC RAY by S,S, Attaolahi both of whom have trained plenty of Classic winners.

    How much a horse has been worked or not worked iis known before a race. It is for punters to be aware of it and decide accordingly.

    What is strange is that someone who tipped 7 6 for Mysore Derby has beeome aware of COSMIC RAY's lack of work after the race. You can't beat hindsight.

In  a  'truely  run'  race over   2000m  Cosmic  Ray  can  never  beat  Southern  Ruler -  if  he  is  fit...

For once, I agree with your observation that CR had no prior trackwork going into such a prestigious race.   Question to be asked is this : Why, but why ???   I strongly believe, on moral grounds and genuine code of ethics, trainer S.Attaolahi owes an explanation to his followers, for this serious lapse.   Or is there more to it than meets the eye.

However, if we go by race no.71, Malwa, which finished 3-1/4 lengths ahead of Southern Ruler, had better credentials.   Even Star Cavalry had finished ahead of SR in the same race.   That they finished more than 2 lengths of the proverbial street, behind SR in the Derby, says a lot about the wayward running of such races in Mysore. 

From now on, having learnt my lesson the hard way at enormous cost, I have decided to skip betting on classics at all centres in India, to avoid the resulting grief.

Southern  Ruler  was  in  betting(4/1) and  was  second  favorite.

Cosmic  Ray- the  hot  favorite, lost so many  punters  are  annoyed but  they  have  overlooked  certain  points, which  may  be  useful  later on...

In a Derby or  any  prestigeous  race , there  are  always  many  triers than an  ordinary handicap/terms race.  Some   of  these  triers are intentially kept  unexposed to  get  better  returns (odds). 

Southern  Ruler  is/was one  of  them. Though  he  was  beaten  by C.Ray  but  that  was a  1400m  race and  this  wasa 2000m  race.  Secondly in  Bangalore  Derby (2000m) he  ended  4th. from  9th.  position ridden  by  Bhawani Sigh while  Cosmic  Ray  regressed  from  4th.  at  bend  to  5th.- more  than  2  lengths  behind  Southern  Ruler while  ridden  by  Suraj..

Surprisingly  while all  the  contestents  were  given  trackwork - from  average  to  good;  the  favorite was  conspicously   absent  since  more  than  one  month!

It  is  surprising ,  why  most  of  the  professional tpsters  missed  these vital  clues...i 

I played big on Cosmic Ray and lost.   On hindsight, I feel I committed a big blunder on a horse which did not have preparatory morning tracks, particularly prior to such a big race as the Derby.   This could mean 2 things, (a) the horse had a major setback in training, or (b) by not doing the morning tracks, the connections were nevertheless confident, and expected higher odds.   Whatever it is, the trainer did a huge disservice to the followers of CR, who paid a heavy price for following the favourite.

By not even coming on board, and losing to other dud horses rated 20 to 30 points below, I feel CR is now a repair horse and should be avoided at all costs, until a major turnaround is observed.

Godzilla Sir it's surprusing me that a person like you finding fault on Srinath! U know very well that horses participated in Mysure Derby is second line horses. This 2019-20 season still we have not seen Top performer. War Hammer, Well Connected, Impavid, Trafalgar are better then average horses. So VS losing in Pune is not great thing. It's expected. At the most SR VS may end their career in Ist class booton weight or IInd class middle weight performers.

It is so long back a horse carries blinker won a derby in India. The traditional concepts to be scrapped as more professionalism is injected into sport. Congratulations for winning team.if it can revive MAM stable...the confusions at present scenario will come to an end

Victorious Sermon has run twice in Pune, flopped both times ! Did you notice that the horse was not enjoying the track @ all ? See the videos..some horses do not like certain tracks.  For example, Fire Arch - sprinters cup 1997 hated the Hyderabad Monsoon track, but loved the winter track.. Some horses are like that ! Stop being a sore loser, and more over Stop blaming Jockeys each time !

I really dont understand how people are still surviving in mysore races, from past two days Hardly 1 or 2 races were held correctly rest all were unpredictable horses won??Can anyone please tell me in the last race of saturday how Clasic Jewel horse has been made as even money fav?? That to a steel horse which is never performed?? Please watch the race it was completely a made up race and still cannot imagine how the stewards does not recognise this race was a made up one??

Southern ruler has finished ahead of cosmic ray in Kingfisher Derby (2000m)i don't see nothing indifferent in Mysore Derby...even in indiarace article they have mentioned that cosmic ray pedigree have not won a race in 2000 meters and above...

Same Srinath rode Victorious Sermon in Pune who had beaten Southern Ruler.

His ride on SR was seen to be believed. Whereas on VS, it was indifferent riding.

No one knows when these guys will be on job and when they wont.

Racing has become laughing stock.

I really don't know what is happening in this industry, here all racing fraternity is just for to fool public ,

Where public are only in loss , there is a limit.why there is no fair racing .Is out hard earned money will be waste like this forever.??????
