In the 8th race of bangalore on friday the pratab stud plate a class 2 race trainer s padmanabhan has entered knight Templer who impressed a lot in the Kingfisher ultra bangalore derby earlier this year. 

Note  during the presentation ceremoney for the derby the trainer mentioned that he was very happy with KT's performance. He added that he too is a classic contender along with well connected. Now that we have seen that well connected is not a certain bet for the upcoming classics, is knight templer the horse who can add feather to padmanaban's classic tallies?He finished above the mysore derby winner southern ruler and mysore guineas winner corsican girl.

1-9 GIN DAISY - Ran a good 2nd in August in Bangalore. I am not sure of jockey Chetan Kalay? Apollo Bay and Darashini are coming with Mysore recent runs. An Eachway bet recommended if odds are big.

2-4 LAGARDE - Tracking well + David Egan on board. Can't be sure in this 2yr first timers. Others for consideration are Mountain Lion and Handsome. Check conditions in ring.

3-11 GRECIAN LIGHT - By Winlegend. Had a lung opener recently in Bangalore was 1L behind  Ispelldangertoall, both were ridden by apprentice. Slight preference to GL and later might place for sure.

1.45 #2 APOLLO BAY ran his best race of career when runner-up last time and can go close to winning on this. 

#12 KANTHAKA has been unreliable but is capable of an upset. Worth a market check. 

2.15 #4 LAGARDE makes most appeal of these and should go close if reproducing the form of his morning trials. 

2.45 #3 CASHMERE has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier and in strong form with two wins from last four attempts, don't dismiss. 

#5 RAMON is the winner of four sprints and knows how to win fresh. He will pose a significant danger. 

3.15 #3 TOKYO ROSE didn't get very far when badly hampered over C&D last start and she's well worth another chance judged on her recent form.

3.45 The hatrick seeking #2 KERAZANO arrives here in fantastic form and is the one to beat in this field. Don't underestimate him stepping down to the 1200m from the inside gate. 

4.15 #2 SALAZAAR: Winner of the Golconda St.Leger grade 2 in 2017. Has won 3 listed races since than and generally raced with credit, including good second to Star Superior in Maharaja Cup in his penultimate start. The top rated has impressed in recent mock race and should be capable of winning a race of this nature. 

4.45 #10 SIR BERNARDINO bounced back to form when finishing a close second over C&D fortnight ago and the five-year-old could go one better off a 5kg lower mark.

5.15 #2 KNIGHT TEMPLAR sets the form standard after finishing third in the Derby last time and could prove tough to stop in these calmer shores. Hard to go past.
