The basic fact of racing is that favourites win about 33 % of races. You can calculate the percentage of two favourites winning two selected races on that basis.

What is a fact is that if someone based at Bangalore had played only the Guineas favourite double in last ten years, he would have won Rs. 14. That is a 14 % return.

Premier Action was in receipt of 2 kgs last time from Vijays Singham. On Monday, there were at level weights !  You are saying it was a made up race ? I shall Preferably wait for the 1000 Guineas to be Done with and decide what to back for the 2000 Guineas.

She went on score in the Bangalore Oaks and Arc De Triomphe ( as Bangalore winter derby was then known as ) and topped it by annexing The Indian derby.

When the trainer enters 2 horses he has to take care of both the owners. He cannot pick and choose who has to win. In an ordinary race maybe,though it is not necessary, but in a classic he has to try as many entered at least to get legal stake money for the owners for reinvestment. The trainer/connections are not responsible for making a horse favorite. What is the use of crying like a baby "he pinched me" after the result. My bet was on David Allan place @ evens and small win on him and Srinath. I completely ruled out MJ because of the rider. I was sure he is not capable of taking MJ to hit the front and similarly he did. MJ is a free front riding horse and he restrained it and the result is bleeding. Please watch the video and see the pathetic ride and poor horse .

Whenever there is a doubt it gives room for manipulations, similar thing happened in Hyd 2000 g,  Vijay's Singham smashed Con at the winning post,  Superb riding both by David Allan and Y S Srinath.  There was ample room for suspicion when Laxman Singh entered two horses.  Both tracked well and Srinath riding Vijay's Singham ... raises eyebrows.  My Journey's staying the  distance was also questionable...One more fact that in 1000 g Paso Robles as fav. won, then in 2000g howcome favourite oblige.  I dont remember when favourties won in both 1000 and 2000 in any centre in India. If so can anyone tell when...and by whom. 

Clear cut made up Race. Whenever a favourite loses and not even placed on the board, the ready made exccuse is bled thru not one nostril but both nostrils, to justify the cunning act.

Ok it bled thru nostrils. Agreed. Then what happened to Premier Action which got placed ahead of the winner of this particular Race in last outing.. Was Premier Action suffering from Piles ? Whats the reason then ? Why AK was not pulled up for not making sufficient efforts ?

In my opinion, CONSIGLIORI should be a sitter !!

MY JOURNEY has a long long way to go to catch up with CONSIGLIORI.

Though unbeaten so far, MJ's credentials are hardly earth shattering, so to speak. In one of its earlier runs it beat ALTA VITA albeit by 9 lengths, and which also happens to be running today in Cl-IV (rated 36). Obviously therefore, MJ's victories have been against rather mediocre horses.

Further,  this colt is 30 rating points lower than the gelding Con. 

Not an iota of a chance to topple the favourite. I reckon MJ may not even place second.

Strictly my views, no offence meant to the MJ backers.

Will My Journey remain unbeaten?  Will make it four out of four?  Consigliori won 4/9 including Deccan derby.  Majestic Warrior won 2/9. Premier Action won 2/8 . Victory Parade won 2/10 Vijay Singham won 3/6 and My Journey won 3/3. The record itself is self explanatory.  Every run showing lot of promise and improvement.  Everyone has to beat this colt to win.  His true potential is yet to be tested and the present distance of 2000 Guinneas  1600 mts is well within his compass.  Laxman Singh knows the calibre and riding talent of Suraj narredu and I fancy this unbeaten colt to win this pretigeou race. Consigliori won the derby when whether conditions were different and penetrometer reading was at its pick but today's weather is sunny and PMR likely to be far less cms compare to deccan derby day.  I put my opinion and fancy straight forward,  you may differ.  I am with MJ and with Suraj and Laxman Singh.  Wishing everyone enjoyable and profitable racing .
