It is sad to see fellow H'tians leaving forum due to loss / unexpected results.

Don't be disappointed; sometime people need more time to make the right decision.

Betting on horse is a tough game for anyone. We have spent many years looking in to what works and what doesnt work. Many of us are aware of vast number of racing systems. But it is true and please understand majority of those systems are not effective over longer terms. Horse racing is all about patience and discipline.

You both have been much appreciated and highly regarded to the forum.

I can only say is Good Luck to both of you. I used to take your selections and writeup seriously which will be missed. May you have a happy and prosperous future ahead and you spend good and quality time with your family.

Racing is becoming bad to worst day by day, I know its racing and you can expect few upsets, but not this kind of racing/results. We study and spent lot of time doing calculations/analysis and everything is failed instantly.

I would sincerely request and advise all punters to be careful and bet within limits.

Wise decision by 2 wise veterans to quit horse racing.   Please do stick to your decision, and never, ever, enter the race course again.   It is truly a devil's Den.

Unfortunately, most race-goers are stuck in this vice of gambling, though being fully aware that it is a lose-lose game.

Yesterday, i had winning bets on The Great Gatsby (20/1 for win and 6/1 for place), Lombardy at 4/1 and Prince Valiant at 165/100.   But i also bet big on Paso Rables and Mahashakti, while also betting on all other races, which i lost.   Final result : i could barely come out of the race course, even-stevens, the 20/1 winning bet and 6/1 place bet on TGG,g and other winning bets,d the drain.   Yet, one so-called constant winner in this forum brazenly proclaims that he can come out a winner, and go on foreign trips from his winnings, by playing upto 3 horses in each and every race (which, nevertheless, invariably fail, or 50-90paisa favourite nominated by him wins - check his selections during the last couple of days).  Shame !!!

Sadly 2 owners combiined  to mis lead te public.Give and take.

Bet  like  me only3 bets out of 10 final score plus rs 460! only but good eough not to have los.t BNG jockeys were out for airing.

Good luck to you.  Certainly there are some people who learn the bitter truth and take proper decision. 

I only hope that your decision to quit will not end the way like promises by some liquor patties.  In tamil, theree is one song. 

Having said that much, I do not think HYD races were as much a disaster as you are making out.   This I am speaking inspite of  both jackpots at BNG were c/o, all the three trebles paid a decent sum and generally punters were blinking at the end of good number of races.

But, just go through the results.  Galloping gangster, Wood bridge,  Isabella & Nova scotia placed.  And two firm favorites, Good connection & Prince Valiand and one well backed 2nd favorite Lombardy won.

On Chennai derby day the money was moving one side only.  From punters to bookies.  Yesterday,  also there were losers; but people had some small consolations here and there.

I had 5 bets yesterday.  Just one clicked.  Lombardy*Air blast forecast.  Payout was slightly higher than the loss in other four bets.

Anyway, I appreciate your good & wise  decision.

Consiglori just showed the glimpse of that form in the monsoon derby when he got a chance over the extended distance

His 2000G run was definitely not within his compass and was on a sharp side.Today with the extended distance should romp home with top saddle support.

1-5 GALLOPING GANGSTER - By Declaration of War. Had not gone beyond 1400m, but breed suggests can go the distance. Exclusive Blue won impressively over a mile can go the extra 200m. Its a toss between the two.

2-12 ALL STAR GENERAL - Knocking at the door, with couple of 2nds. Was ahead of most of them in previous races. Honourable Guest is the danger and will place.

12.10 #5 GALLOPING GANGSTER is taken to follow up last course win despite being set to carry a class penalty. The blinkers brought him to life that day and, with the headgear retained, this looks teed-up for another big run.

12.40 #11 LONDON BRIDGE is sliding down the ratings and is capable of figuring at this level. He may have needed his first run as a gelding and could resume winning ways. 

Last twice failed favourite #12 ALL STAR GENERAL is considered the main danger with change in equipment. 

1.10 Right from the foot of the weights, it might pay to side with #11 EXPLOSIVE. Should go the longer trip on pedigree and show up well with positive switch in rider. #7 RENO STAR is a potential danger stepping up in distance. 

1.40 #5 LIGHTNING POWER shaped with an abundance of promise when second over C&D on debut and is entitled to improve with that experience now under his belt.

2.10 #3 KINGSWOOD has won three times at this course as a juvenile including in class 3 but he has been below his best since. This is an easier task than some he has faced, but he does need to put his best foot forward. While another class dropper #8 SEA CASTLE looks to be coming to the boil judging by his C&D fourth last time and can upset. 

2.50 In an open race, marginal preference is for #5 YOURS FOREVER, who has been running well in defeat in his most recent starts and that consistency is encouraging. 

3.25 #6 LOMBARDY left a favourable impression when winning on debut and looked one to keep on the right side of.

3.55 #9 PRINCE VALIANT disappointed over mile last time out as a favourite but will do better back over his pet distance and can gain compensation from low mark. 

#4 HIGHLY ACCLAIMED couldn't hold on and just missed last start. He has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier and is dangerous to ignore at this handicap. 

4.30 #2 CONSIGLIORI Won the Mansoon derby grade 1 comfortably and was a gallant runner-up in the 2000 Guineas earlier when the distance was against him. He's right in play now stepping up in trip. 

5.00 C&D winner #6 NOVA SCOTIA was beaten less than a length here last start and he can make amends with better saddle support. Appeals on handicap.
