Juliete For Indian Derby?

By Sarvesh | 20-Jan-2020

The way JULIETE hacked the opposition in the Indian oaks reminds me of jacquiline.its been a while we had a horse galloping like JULIETE.with all but BANGALORE derby over none of the regional derby winners can match strides with JULIETE .the glorious days of late DR  MAM are back.with utmost conviction I can predict that JULIETE is the derby winner.i want htians to share their Vries.

RAMESH1975  Indian Derby (GR.1) Kheem Singh was the first Indian Jockey to ride the winner ‘BALAM’ at the Indian Derby in 1949.     2010 to12 and 2017 won Fille. Know this year won Fille

Hi All,

I am comparing just two of them JULIETTE vs SEA THE DREAM.

JULIETTE - By Musketier - Was a G3 winner and won 6 races out of 24 starts. His first win was a 2yr old over 1800m and then 2000m as 4yr old, both came in France. His last 4 Wins came in USA over 2400m. She has the stamina from sire Musketier. Eventhough she is a small filly (400Kg+), she has a big heart. I am convinced she will be their in the finish line in Indian Derby.

SEA THE DREAM - By Sea the stars. Winner of 6 G1 races. All his wins are from 1600m to 2400m. Winner of Epsom Derby, Winner of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. I am sure you cannot rule out Sea the Dream, She is lightly raced and might bounce back fast.

This will be a clash of titans between the two of them. On paper right now JULIETTE has an upper hand, has shown a great turn of foot and beat Sea the Dream convincingly. Lets decide on the day..

Juliette ran brilliantly, no doubt. Can it fight with colts and geldings ? It may place at the most.

I never select a filly to lift the Indian Derby. Ladies derby is different and Indian Derby is different.

Alexei was unlucky last time and this time, he will be prepared meticulously by Master Trainer.

Yes she won quite easily, looked full of running.

But will she be that fit as she was in the Oaks is the question.

I dont think she will make it,may be a decent 3rd place will be most expected

Clever..be a little clever...Paso Robles clocked 2:37 seconds for 2400...class 5 timing whereas Juliette clocked 2:29 easing up long way from home...all the Romeos (colts) will chase Juliette in the Indian Derby. Let's wait & watch if there is any worthy Romeo to win over Juliette.
