D Khaitan’s retainer and local popular  jockey turned new trainer C Alford got his first win yesterday when he saddled his ninth runner SULLIVAN in sixth race The Irma La Douce Handicap a class three race over a distance of 1100mts in a competitive 11 horse field. SULLIVAN ‘s last run was very impressive and suggestive when he lost to Vallersthal by nk in the hands of apprentice jockey though running first time at Kolkata and despite travelling wide.This time he settled nicely behind the leader Namak Hallal and surged ahead in last furlong to win convincingly.  Vellersthal won again in next outing easily which further enhances the chances of SULLIVAN available at good odds 5/1.  

I congratulate C Alford for selecting a good jockey and keeping the horse in good condition. Now his tally stands as 10 runners 1 win 2 seconds and 1 third. If he continues his hard work with dedication lot more will be heard from his runners. I wish him many more successes with tons of good luck and duwaas.
