@ Arvind, I lost most of my money on place bet, but not on the win bet.

I thought like u,  before I lost too much on place bet,

But later I realized betting  on win is better and  I can guess 10%  on win and 5% on place, 85% I failed.

Over all 100% I lost. Then I failed on both win and place bet. And SHP and THP. 

I gain nothing but loss in that 15 %,  which I thought I won. This is the Truth of racing

Perhaps you believe that tipping for place is child's play.  Well.  Do not be so over confident.  Tipping a horse for place is even more difficult than tipping for a win.

Of course, tipping for place is comparatively easy provided you tip favorites for place.  You can expect decent strike rate.  But, if you tip 100 such favorites for place, your dividends will be less than your investment even if you are lucky enough to score 50% strike rate.

There are too many instances where bookie gives odds ranging from 1.25 to 1.50 for place in a 7 horse race even on 2nd favorite.  I am betting on forecast pool only.  And, I know how much difficult it is to locate a runner up.  My strike rate on forecast bet is less than 15%.

sometimes it is easy to predict the Winner but difficult to spot place correctly. How many people would have lost on place for Juliett in the derby

Many jockeys under instructions opt out if there is no chance of winning to save handicap for the horse.. In place bets risk is limited even though earning may be little. But something is better than nothing is it not.

Hi all I have one question please every one pay attention Multifaceted first come acceptance in Chennai then after banglore, I think the horse is not go to Chennai after come name in banglore the owner and trainer decides to withdraw in Chennai and now run in banglore I think 100% trying sure to place 99% chance of winning.
