As far as I could tell reading the rules of the game... You don't have to always pick a short priced like war hammer (or any favorite)  for win.  it's a skill game, our skill in selecting a second best like trouvaille may take us up the leaderboard. In the same example you gave if you had played 500 tokens on war hammer, your profit would have been 1000 and let's say I had played for 300 tokens my profit would still be higher than yours....

So I think if one is smart he can invest wisely for better results. It looks like emphasis is given to profit on investment, so picking a thp or shp can also be a strategy. Also the overall profit accumulated is being considered and I feel they have mapped it to a points table.

So if one were to play continuously and if he were to handicap for all 3 places and select which he feels is best option to make profit, he may do better than someone who only plays favorite for win.

I think end of the day it's about skill in selecting the best 3 horses in a race, and play smartly.

Unfortunately I couldn't play last week, but anyway the way the contest is laid out I think joining now and trying is still worth it as the  contest has so many days left. I have just registered and played.

However I am a bit curious.  Of course, I am not joining the contest.  I just want to know about the contest.  There is absolutely no need for you to reply.

You paid Rs. 500/- for 5,000 tokens!  (I thought one will get 500 tokens only for 500/-). 

Suppose you had a bet of those entire 5000 tokens on War hammer for win in Mumbai derby race.  How much points you would have gained?

And, in the next 18 days of play, how many more 500/- you desire to invest in this contest?  Will the cost be approximately another 10,000/-  for 1 lakh points?

Of course, my idea is to just learn about the contest from the player.  

And, you can either reply OR refuse to reply.  The choice is yours.
