The accumulated profit is given 80% weightage and number of transactions is given 20% weightage. Both the tables have 25000 as maximum points for #1 position. When both aspects are taken an overall leaderboard points table is generated.

So even though you are in profit, if someone has more profit he goes above you and your leaderboard points will reduce.

For example, in the next race you again win but someone above you had lost, then accumulated profit varies as the investment loss of the person above you had reduced his overall profit also reduces. Then you could move above him.

The key is how many transactions you make and how many of them succeed.

You can increase your chances by playing SHP and THP pools also if the rewards for your selection of winner is low. You can nominate the second best horse for SHP.

As it is a skill based game, picking second best horse and nominating that for SHP or SHOW(place) is also a good strategy.
