At Bangalore, the same treble ticket paid 19k taxable!

Of course, after races everyone will be double clever.  My point is if you had invested the same 240 and purchased an additional treble ticket, you could have avoided that tax.

I have one fixation.  That is no punter can win money in races. 

However, a good number of punters win appreciative amount by betting. on horses.  I heartily congratulate them.  Many tips given by Libero are literally bomb shells.  In my sub conscious, I silently agree that there are and there will be winners.  But, while speaking in this site, I prefer to ignore those master punters and generally be thinking of average punter.

Of course, I know that on Invitation day, many punters who had not squandered all amount in first three races, managed to earn back a decent amount in the last 5 races. Mainly on  Multifaceted, Adjudicate & Juliete for place.

I Was there along with libero and some friends for both the days.

I always fond of mysore racing as i always felt that there will be some long shots. On invitation day i took ist trble for 240 rs.totaol payout was 10837 for a single tkt which was mine.collections were too low for treble pool. If i had taken it at hyd it costs only 120 rs payout was 15k plus.Theworst part is i didnt know the amount or encash it after 3rd race had to wait till the 8th race clearance given. After deduction i got 7643 r so.if i could encashthe tkt earlier i would have increasedmy volume a bit on other horses.thanks to mrc they didnt gave me immediately after 3rd race i lost 4.5.6.7 racest then striking memoryagain  i played.other than the first three races on a row. A huge profit on second day and marinal profit on first day made my trip memorable.

1. First of all any given race all the participating horses have equal winning chances

2. Fav -> DIVINE HUNT won at rating of 29 carrying 61.5 KG and there no track work after that race

3. STRIKING MEMORY rated 25 only 4 points below the Fav carry only 52 KG and getting 8 KG advantage and found latest good track work on Feb 26, 2020

4. STRIKING MEMORY carried 60 KG and 57 KG in previous runs and finished only 6 length behind the winner and age only 4YO

5. There is positive betting on STRIKING MEMORY at the time of race

6. RN Dharsan who rode the horse earlier also given recent track work and ridng the horse now

Hope the above reasons are enough to atleast PLACE bet on this horse.

Why we did not bet on the winners?  

Good question.  I will try to answer on behalf of others.  There is nothing much to show in terms of my performance.  In many races, there were more than 13 horses competing and I do not take any risk in such races.

Saturday, except 1st & last race, there were outsiders in 6 races.  Particularly, no body expected Corfe Castle to unleash a powerful ride.  Entire world was bullish on Multifaceted.  And it was not blind faith.  Horse had merits.  The fact proved next day when it easily won over Tutankhamun/Snowdon.  Of course, punters could have avoided that particular race because favorite was quoted at cramped odds.  But, what to do.  There were punters who had gone to Mysore (from Bangalore) with the idea of betting 10k, 20k, 50k etc on Multifaceted.  And Multifaceted finished nowhere!

Sunday of course was a big shock.  Multifaceted, Trafalgar, Adjudicate, Vachab & Striking.  All were bettable horses only, though none was favorite. Yet Jackpot paid a good 4 lakhs, & runner up 4 thousand.  Of course the first three races on Sunday had gone to less fancied horses.  The Great Gatsby, Starry wind & Aachen.  Treble (10/- bet) on these three horses paid whopping 19k.  

So, one thing is evident.  In small /medium fields (12 runners or less), punter may locate the winner.  But in big fields, it is all bookies who will be winning all the races.  Punters does not have credible explanation for their loss on Sunday.  Star Suppreme & Adjudicate are the prime fancies according to all newspapers.  Yet punters neglected Adjudicate.  I do not say Star Supreme is a bad selection.  Just like Multifaceted on Saturday, Star Superior finished nowhere on Sunday.  But, a punter who had 4,000 bet on Star Suoerior could have bet 2000 each on Star Superior & Adjudicate.  

Punters also could have ignored one bad loss of Multifaceted on Saturday and backed that next day.  So on Sunday, the punter had bookies in a bind in 4th to 8th races.  Well.  At least they could avoided any bet at all.  Instead they could have played 200 to 500 at tote on forecast, trinella.  

What to do.  Punters simply picked the wrong horses.  That is the curse in built in racing.  The punter will be always on fault.   He will show rank indiscretin while being bullish on favorites and the horse will surely lose.  And he will be cautious, disciplined while betting on winners. The bookies will be winning whether it is day of favorites or flukes or 2nd/3rd favorites.

I played Win and Place on Followwig horses..No any particular reason..I played only based on Last Minute Betting,Odds,Jockey Selection and Horse Superiority..
I didnt consider Weight,Age,Distance, or Draw Number.
