@shish # At Hyderabad race club, tote tickets of any pool can be encashed till 90 days. But not at tote windows. Tote people will guide us. It is at separate building and separate office, where you have to fill a form , with all details, including your pan number and bank participants. With in a week you will get a cheque at  your home. I have not encashed this way since 3 years.I know even after  3  Months also it can be be encashed ,for that the ticket will be checked by clubs higher authorities.when we appear personally in front them and If are able to convince them the reasons for deley are genuine you will get the amount.I think just more or less the same rule is followed by other race clubs also.

Shish, you will get your amount. But try hard. After encasing the ticket.write a letter to this forum,so that other needy people will be knowing the procedure.

Of course, common sense and fairness demands that the tickets should be considered valid for at least 3 days after resumption of racing activites in the country.  But, the only problem is  matter printed on the ticket.  Hope they will not fade away in two months time.

Also, I am happy that among horsetalk memberss there are many tote players even today.  Some people nurse terrible contempt against the tote players.  For them it is status symbol to say that they bet with bookies.  They flaunt credit line as if it is President's Gold Medal!

Of course such punters after losing whatever  cash balance they had, stay at home pretending that they have stopped betting.

I don't think racing will start any time soon  - next 2 months out of question -  the main sufferers as usual will be the horse owners - meter on -  buy horses maintain them bet on them ..bad situation.......future of racing -bad to worse.

@ Shish : I too having some non redeemed and non encashed tote tickets purchased at Pune race course on 12th of March.  Because of evening races I left immediately after last race that day and thought of encashing it next day.  Next day  I visited Pune Race Course but only one tote official was available in entire  tote  office and he was not having cash.  I gave my tickets to him and took his mobile number but till now not able to establish  contact with him.  Later  I sent a mail on 20th March to the Secretary,  RWITC and it was received at their end too  but still I am waiting for reply . In view of emergency conditions of Corona I understand nobody is reporting for work at tote office and in all fairness  RWITC will extend the deadline of 21 days up-to next race day and release the payment of non encashed tickets.  But atleast  I  expected a reply for my mail to clarify the position. In larger interest my due amount of rs 2485/- may not be of much  important for RWITC  but a proper reply of mail is my minimum expectation. Hope the concerned officials will pay attention .

Shish,

There were no races on 13th.  I think you are speaking about March 12 races.

You are advised to visit the race course in person and try to explain your problem.  Posing a query in this site will not help..

What to do if there are no one at Mahalaxmi race course and the place is completely shut down.  In that case, just hope that they will pay your winning tickets whenever the club reopens.

But, visit Mahalakshmi. And it is better if you visit today itself.

It is  dificult to stay indoors when races are being held anywhere in India,

There was irritation on 13th March when BNG races were called off.  Anger on 14th March.  But, by March 15th punters were resigned to the prospect of "NO FURTHER RACING" till April 15th.  So, the news of cancellation was not a disappointment to punters.

A big disappointment to bookies and rogue trainers/jockeys.  Punters should welcome such a move.  Not sure whether Ooty season commences by April 14th.  So, a long long holiday for horse race punters till May 2020. (that too presuming that Summer races will start at BNG from 3rd week of May).

Whether there will be some day's racing at Delhi during April?  Whether Ooty season begins on April 14th?  In all probability NO!

It is official RWTC has cancelled the remains Mumbai meetings. Pune season may be advanced to July 15th and till that time horses will be stationed at Mumbai only. RWTC has even closed the race course for walkers etc. Let us take rest and stay home avoid corona, save ourselves and the nation from the virous. I prey for the well being of everybody.
