I endorse your views . Horse racing whuch  once recognized as  a gentleman  sport is now undergoing at its worst phase in Indiia.due to various malpractices by the INSIDERS which I do not want to elaborate here as everyone knows the facts very well. They lead a luxurious life with the money looted from the innocent punters all these days.

Covid19 has saved the punters from these money grabbers.

As you described , they are now paying their KARMA for all their misdoings.and  now realizing their mistakes. KARMA is the cosmic principle according to which each person is rewarded or punished according to their deeds

Punters who are now relieved from these cheaters  are leading a peaceful and contented life.

Thanks COVID19 ,For you are the SAVIOUR OF PUNTERS.

Indian Racing industry is on verge of collapse..

There will be no money for sponsorship..no owners to buy new horses..and existing owners will run away...so no worries ..it's End if it's continue for another 4 months

Please don't make out the meaning from my reply as per your convenience I said all races are not fixed, that means some merit horses are not tried on that particular day given only trial run coz of too much competence or to check the health does that mean the connection has joined hands with the winner? No. definitely not. 

If all races were fixed we would have not seen Becket,quasar, etc....

Self differ with the narrative, will emphasize again  (COVID 19 a SAVIOUR from racing).

Even if I take out time and come up with an equation on liquor , Cig VS Racing I might still be able justify the amount saved.

However, how much u carry while u bet and how expensive and how much liquor/Cig  u consume is also a saving in these hours .

I rest my thought....

Your first point is self contradictory. You say all races are not fixed which actually points out that a few are fixed and this is also not acceptable.

Racing  is widely  acknowledged  as skill game. There will   be  retirement   for  all  persons  engaged   in any sporting   activity  but for punters  there is  no retirement   age. Once we fall  in  this trap it is difficult   to  come out.. we  can see  many   elderly people even handicapped  person in race course.i saw a blind person   coming   to  tote with his son daily

If we realize this Is not correct   option  why  hang here as correctly pointed by  many no one is forcing  any one  of us to report to race course

We have chosen a field   to  make  easy  money so we  have  to face all the  problems and challenges  also.

I am sure that all  of us have experienced   multiple   times the horse we  play place  will win and what we play win will finish 2nd r 3rd and what  we play place will   be 4 th r a winner. Shp will  be winner.winner will   be shp.

We  have to get along  these unless   we  gave up

After the Government introduced gst, some tote punters stopped betting on horses.  In my view, they have taken the best practical and sensible decision and only they can count the gains/savings because of quitting horse race betting.  No one else!

At present, because of coronavirus scare, people are not betting.  They will certainly  resume betting when the races resume!  You state that COVID 19 is saviour of punters.  To me it is at best a temporary reprieve.

What you say is most logical.No one forces us to smoke, consume liquor or bet in races.  But, people are addicted to those three habits and are not at all willing to stop that habit.  In many cases they swear on Lakshmi, Saraswathi, their mother etc that they will not indulge in such habits from NEXT DAY.  But, who has seen tomorrow?

Cigarettes and liquor has limits.  Suppose you have two lakh rupees in your pocket.  Can you spend the entire amount on cigarettes, liquor in one day?  But, such is not the case with race betting.  You may be having two lakhs, five lakhs or  a million.  There is scope for blowing away everything in one day's race betting!  This is a vice and punters are addicted.  

Vijaykumar has not spoken anything negative.  He has spoken the reality. Today people are not betting only because there is no racing in India. 

I am not taking sides but the cutters and bookies agents with hotline connections especially in Hyderabad race are clueless of their future . These people have been creating havoc in the bookies ring and on phone for all punters

also untidiness is their trademark with spitting and  chewing gutka in and out every where in Hrc 

these issues have to be addressed before anything else 

I don't know how many of them here own horse. But do consider as am  CLOSELY associated  I say owners do go loss on some days. there are lot of factors which punters don't see because they are always on BLK ONN. my suggestion is own a horse pay BTF , afford imported feed, then come here and blame jockeys, owners, trainers and say race is fixed , pulled and what not. 

1 All races are not fixed.

2. Not all owners were once cutters/ runboy.

3. Not all owners are benami.

Every  penni spend means someone earned, Save money & limit your spending accordingly your earning capacity.

Why negative, no one is forced, this is just like habits of drinking, smoking and other pleasures. 

Just think how much people would have saved on alcohol, cig and others and not only from racing plea

All keep savings, and spend in first two days of Bangalore summer....and then go for quarantine

Its wrong to say COVID19 - THE SAVIOUR OF PUNTERS. Then what about the thousands who are not punters.. If racing has cheated yu then yu have the option to neglect it.. Lets not welcome Covid for our well being as punters
