Ravi sir,

Of course ownership are given freely,'look out' for some owners who went to jail and have criminal back ground don't know ABC of racing are given permission they INVADE course and bring to their level. Gone are the days of MAM,VM, where watching the racing is a thrill leave alone betting. Synd is a big problem you all know why. In Future it may be called game of thieves than game of skill and ROBBERY of sports.

Problem with turf clubs is they do not want  to change. Most of the turf clubs are run by few set of people. Old rules and regulations are continuing without any change. All over world syndicate racing is promoted by the turf clubs as well as governments, if they bring in  Management consulatant will get very huge consulatation fee and still the same situation. Turf clubs must promote syndicate racing. Ownership approvals should be given freely.

It is hi time for club's to join hands and discuss, decide solutions to save industry. But the club's are governed by old school drop outs with little imagination.

TAI can consult one management firm to derive formulas to solve this issue.

Club officials must educate govt officials that racing is not just gambling but a series of activities which generates lakhs of jobs. Our Prince Chadurang is the best man to lead this time

Sir everything in the article and Ravi Gawande vouching for it also correct. But situation is bad at many race clubs and Egoism is toast of few clubs. Few Owners are millionaire so even racing is not there they won't be botherd. They verywell can go to foreign racing. But others who spent half of their life in racing would be maximum affected. But Center and State wud consider supporting Racing in India. All race clubs must come together and  appoint a committee consist of knowledgeable persons both racing and Rules of govt prepare a solid points where both Govt and Race clubs benefit in the long run.hope persons like Anil and Ravi this would be possible at the earliest. But I feel this s the right time to approach Center.

2  very informative and useful articles by Anil Mukhi Sir,

Which brings us to the organization at the helm of affairs in India, namely the (Joint) Turf Authorities of India.

I am witnessing racing since 1995, but other than anual Invitation Cup races in various centers TAI is never seen. Normally all other industries the Apex body provides the role of leadership. Unformtunately it is not happening in India. Plenty of opportunities presented for the industry. First the Demonitisation and then GST. If proper representation would have been done to the government then GST rate on betting would have come down.

Auctions were initiated by Madras Race Club in 2017 and dsicontinued after 2 years in Mumbai RWITC auctions are happening.

1231 Foals Produced in 2017 in India. in auction 48-50  horses have been sold in the ring. Under such circumstances will the Government  support the industry. If Turf Clubs do not come together and collectively decide to do some thing only then future is bright for Indian racing or else it is finished.
