It's real tiring and sad to hear this word called Corona virus , look what it's done firstly to the world economy, the rich is becoming poorer and the poor are bound to become worst , this is the present scenario if you believe in it or not , I felt little hope that at least racing would commence late this year , but  now I'm very  much sure with the  brutality this virus as brought upon to the world globally ,it's possible  that racing may by chance like a 2000/1fluke shot commence  early next year or failing which mid July or never , perhaps as one reader predicted that the word Kharma as saved people their money from Aliens sucking out the blood from them all these years , is this an opportunity and opening to exist from a virus even worst than the Corona itself it's like run run run for your freedom don't look back even for a glance , so much money saved can be used in this dreadful moment in which the money saved can be used for better purposes than the evil of racing . 

Even if racing was to start GST taxes would be raised almost by whopping percentage, entry fees doubled , only a few people would attend that to amongst strick and mandatory government rules pertaining to the virus , only the well to do or privileged ones would be habitual regulars to see this sport entertainment, money would not flow as normal comparing to last year and mostly everyone would be more prudent now than before in spending their hard earned money especially after this virus effect  , no one would be happy to see each one apart as socialising restrictions would be strictly followed , tote collections would be delayed and money collected will be less , people at the paddock and stands will be very few my guess as to what procedure would be for all the professionals in this sport and the staff , and lots more to ponder , taking all these into consideration minus the travelling of each punter vice a verse it's highly a risk factor for the government and the racing administration to have races conducted . 
sponsoring a card , advertising , owners stakes , Trainers and Jockeys fees , stable fees , and paying the staff and club expenses would surely take a solid hit , and to see only few  racing fans with less money playing cautiously than before would make the top owners feel this is going to boredom them a lot racing would never be in the lthe years that went by when we had witnessed beautiful races in the 70s to early 2000s were you had the best Trainers and Jockeys fight for honours , after 2005 it's like every punter been invited to hell and run back helter skelter back home with bruises all over ,

You are absolutely right.  When the races are in full swing prior to corona virus outbreak, Insiders I mean horse owners, trainers, jockeys, in collusion with club authorities have minted money by conning the innocent punters and lead a luxurious life.  Punters lost everything their  money ,  dignity and social status and subjected to great hardships.

   Now the story is different.  After putting hold on horse races Punters are not wagering any bet on horse races and they are now left with big savings. They are  having surplus money and investing it in  immovable properties and becoming rich.

       On the other hand the fraudsters who conned the punters all these years are now paying their karma for all their sins  and starving for money. They are not able to pay even the bills towards their yards and wandering for money like beggars.

      God has taken avatar as CORONA VIRUS to save the punters from these monsters. If at all horse racing has to be resumed or not,  it is the headache of the so called INSIDERS and not ours.

All these things are nonsense. Only one way. That is ONLINE BETTING. Thank you

Racing   - how can any state even think of starting it -   other sports are contemplating closed door meeting [no spectators] they will get their spectators and money from tv rights / advertisements .... races not lucrative ...the audience is very limited ....

Racing will not start in 2020 that is the Reality and it's time we digest this fact.

Secondly if it does start in early 2021 it is a dead industry and will slowly cripple to close down

In fact all the humbug the clubs in nexus with trainers and crooked owners have been doing with poor punters...well they deserve it

Forget about the racing till October 2020.

Physical distancing is impracticable, hence impossible for the next 2 years. Mumbai and Delhi being hot spots I wonder how many punters would take the risk of mingling in crowds like earlier, EVEN IF everyone wears a mask. That however, is secondary. Let me ask if the government and clubs will take the risk of allowing congregation of such dense crowds where everyone is literally breathing into each other.

If racing is to survive and thtive, online betting must be introduced on a war footing by the joint effort of government and the clubs.
