Super Mare Polish Lightning

By Anilxk | 04-May-2020

Usha stud acquired a mare called Polish  lightning in 1994, it given service to them for few years only but all produces are a class above performers.

If my memory is right the first produce is Spark of love(Owned by P.Arunkumar) out of Razeen who not been tested in classics by first trainer Padmanabhan and later changed stables to Michale Eashwer and then to Prasannakumarif I am sure it stayed in races till 9 years, second one is owned by Ramesh Jhangtiani called warsaw pact who won long distance classics and produced good off springs with staying power.,

Third is Running flame out of steinbeck. This game filly was luckily received by Padmanabhan as owner SP.KHAITAN with draw from races gifted to him.It  won first million at mumbai .The mare who criss crossed India and defeated Saddle up and Great Investment and Allied forces

Fourth is Pacific fleet .This horse was mysteriously with drawn from racing eventhough it came second on debut ridden by Rithesh(paid 122 for place and 165 for shp at btc tote)

Through out of one daughter Running flame she produced the highest stakes winner desert god in India.

All progenies of Polish lightning are specialised in coming from rear, their finishing speed is far better at that era.

Now in breeding we are short of this type money spinning super mom's.Frankly saying I used to follow all by polish lightning with out deep study.

@ Cruise

Some time the information about dam line will help us to take a decision to invest or not in races. Those who curse the jockey and trainer must re read the card after the race , will get the exact reason for performance.Till the day I never blamed jockey or trainer for the losses in a particular race.It is becase if they are dead serious and lost, will try in the very next attempt to clear of it.It is so human nature for  not to fall with out fight.

The gentleman trainer Puttanna, normally tries and get that particular race. One day he got acceptance in 5 races out of two are favourites.(1995 summer) He came with a beautiful attire to lead the horse, but lost by wire, second one lost due to bumping by winner.I found Puttanna walking with a red face towards paddok and the next one is ridden by no hope jockey nagesh, he just given him some instruction and looks cautiously on his mount many times. That horse won with 1000 plus on tote.

The progenies of Little pleasure (great upsetter which I cant forget)won every time on heavy odds is it a co incidence?

@ Anilxk

Kindly permit me to correct various errors in your post.

1.   Spark of GLORY (not Spark of LOVE) was seventh (not first) foal of Polish Lightning. Trainer Padmanabhan raced the gelding in Bangalore 2000 Guineas, Gr.2 (unplaced) and Bangalore Derby, Gr.1 (fourth).

2.   Running Flame has NO relation with Polish Lightning. She never finished ahead of either Great Investment or Allied Forces.

3.   Pacific Fleet has NO relation with Polish Lightning. She was ridden by A. Merchant (not Ritesh) on her only start.

4.    As per the records, SHP started in Bangalore from the first day of 2010 Summer Meeting. If it had been introduced earlier for off-course betting, let someone else confirm it.
