Coronaa is a reality...which we must live with in future. This epidemic made huge losses in racing industry all over the world.The speciality of this lock down is denial of opportunity to equine athletes.....
To tackle the lost opportunity of horses, after racing resumes, handicapping systems to be unified by TAI. High weight races of all distances with out allowances is the best option to give un exposed equines to prove mettle. They lost a very valuable year in their life.(Most of the punters not gained anything in lockdown as very few gone for work) Your suggestions please

Racing will start when it had to ir might be never.
Think of the lakhs who hv been saved by not going to the racecourse else many hapless punters would be affected by thd killer disease

Impractical and utopian suggestions do not maintain or enhance the value of the point a writer is trying to make. Handicapping and resultant ratings given by various handicappers of different race clubs are based on scientific principles. ..
Worldover no official handicapping or rating system, can give more than 30 or 35% success rate is a proven fact...

IF A HORSE WINS , THE HANDICAPPER GIVES 9 OR MORE POINTS ARE
GIVEN. SOME TIMES NO POINT IS GIVEN.
BETTER RATING HORSES ARE ALSO FAILED COMPARE WITH INFERIOR
HORSES.
CAUSES ARE NOT KNOWN.

Punters not gained anything in lockdown ? common sense should tell you punters gained by not losng - trainers jockeys etc lost by not earning ...
You should not give your views in the head post till you learn some more , as of now not qualifed ......

Useless matter...No racing anywhere..no body knows when how it gonna be started..And this gentleman is thinking of weight n handicapping.This conona along with racing authority have smashed small horse racing business in India for a long time...
Ponawalla family may give a stimulus to save Indian racing.. thanks punters and India race.com to keep alive racing discussion in India atleast...
