Food For Your Thoughts

By Ayyarnet | 05-Jul-2020

My dear friends:

Most of us are waiting for the Races to commence. Why we are going to races?

How many of us are so called Animal lovers? How many of us have really touched a Horse !! To be honest and truthful to all we are going to Races to earn instant extra money without knowing we are actually chasing a mirage in a desert you may view as water but when we go very close you will not find anything.  Why we lose money ? why some gets money while others lose ? Is there any methods or secret strategies etc., we have discussed enough here one person wanted to go to the Honble Supreme court of India petioning or praying to ban the Races. You can very well imagine his heart felt feelings against Races !!

According to our Vedic Science -( even now I consider myself as a student of Vedic Science and I have concrete faith with our vedic science. ) what we get is not through Horses or Bookmakers or Tote or even from Business or Employer but from Almighty only - the MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME.

In other words Horses or Bookmakers or Tote or Business side or Employers are just a courier sent by Almighty to deliver the funds to us.

What we get may not be Uniform for all of us and variations will always as per the Natural Law of the Universe. However we may try or if we stand Head down and legs up we will not get a cent other than what is due to us.

I m bit puzzled or rather shocked to learn the intricacies of our own vedic science. The law states what yiou get depends on what you give to others - needy and less privileged or less fortunate members of our society who are under going punishment for their misdeeds in their life. Compassion, Love for the less fortunate or less priveleged members ofvthe society acts as a catalyst to generate more income for us.  So as per the vedic science our income is already decided as per our account with the Universe. So instead of chasing the other avenues we must look at the main source of our income.

Years ago I was working with a Prominent Pharmaceutical company situated at the Shiv Sagar Estate near Worli. Once I was travelling in a taxi from Parel to my office after finishing my appointment with many doctors at the hospitals at Parel. My taxi stopped for a while at the worli naka (junction) I saw a lame beggar approaching me for few coins. I searched pocke I did not have change at all I had only few 50 rupees notes. After having seen his pathetic condition I gave him a 50 Rupees note and taxi started after the signal and the driver scolded me for throwng 50 rupees note and he cold have given me lesser value note. I said no problem  Let him have a good meal . To my surprise by evening I got Rs 7000 on the same day from my office an accoun of some Bonus etc., This is just to site an example and cerytainly not to BLOW MY TRIUMPET as many of instantly indicate.

Please think for a while honestly whether any such similar incidents took place took place in your life where you have contributed willingly without any force for the welfare any one and can yiu recollect the changes that could have been taken place later not necessarily on the same day.

When we lose or win money it is not that Horse ran ably or not as expected but behind the scene there so many unknown scenes are taking place some times we may or only our creator knows about it. There will be no smoke without fire !!  So I suggest while keeping or maintaining Race going please spend little time seach or find the main source of our income. You may criticise m no problem but just because you may not agree TRUTH will never fade. Just try for a while. No investment is required you will never lose you may gain but no loss  Just try to think for a while please.

Indeed unfortunate that I am learning all these truth at the very fag end of my life but Better late than never says an italian proverb !!!

Best Regards to all

Champ,

A compulsive liar;  and you should not expect anything better from such men.

I have exposed his lies too many times.

His claim of place dividend on Malavika (the horse which placed 3rd in a 6 horse field) deserves a nobel prize in lies & bluffs.

After my continuous taunts, he arrogantly said that he had no bets on Malavika. Till that point, he was only in abusive mode.

I am least bothered by his abuses.  I know, three fingers are pointed towards him when he points one finger at me.

What to do.  People are having some kind of soft corner to him.  He is a man from Air Force.  People grant too much weightage on this aspect and simply believe whatever he says.

Why he should be lying?  One thing I am certain is he is not getting one phootee kowdee benefit because of such lies.  And the Majesty of his noble profession should have helped him to be a man of high self confidence, leadership etc.  Alas!  It seems every second horse bettor is a hopeless liar.  They lie to their parents (if alive), wife, friends, relatives etc.  This man has chosen an additional platform to peddle his lies.

The only saving grace in this post is he has claimed that he received 850/-.   Somewhat surprising.  Normally he claims wins in the denomination of millions.

Difficult to believe ...... for the simple reason , if a ticket is worth 5 rupees ( I doubt again, in those days) and the boy doesn't have change after being given 10 rupees, the first thing he would do is try to cajole the customer to take another ticket in lieu of the 5 rupees change. And a guy who plays win on 3 horses , would never fail to oblige.

Many years ago  something  similar  happened  with  me. In 60's  &70's  lotteries  were craze  of  everybody but  it  started waning  in  late 80's  and  90's.One  sunday  I was  going  forracing  when just  before the  gate  of  Borivali   station  a  small boy, perhaps 10 or  12  year  old gently touched   my  hand. I gave  him  a  questioning  look. He showed  me  few  lottery  tickets  and asked  me  to  buy  one. I said  I'm not  interested. He meekly  said he  is  not  able  to  sell a single  ticket  since  morning. I lloked  at  him  again and  just  to  help  him I randomly  picked  up  one  ticket and  gave  him  a  10  rupee  note. The  price  of ticket  was Rs.5.  The  boy  said  he  has  no  change  to  return. I was  in  ahurry  to  catch  the  local to  go  to  Mahalaxmi and  left  Rs 5  with  him. After  coming  back I dumped  the  ticket  along with  race  books in  my  table  drawer and  forgot  about  it.

After  a  month or  two  I was  clearing  my  table  drawer and  found  that  ticket and  thought  of  throwing  it  in  dustbin. On  second  thought  I pushed  it  in  my  shirt  pocket  and  in  the  evening  I  went  to  the stall  of  a  lottery  seller  who  used  to  maintain the  record of  results  of  lotteries. He  searched fom  the  records  and  informed  me that it  has  won  a prize of  Rs.1000 and  I've  to  go  to  Worli to  claim  the  prize. Alternative he  offered to  pay  me  cash if  I give  him 15% commission. I readily  handed  over  the  ticket  to  him and  pocketted Rs.  850 and came  back  home...

Actually it is not my point. As per dedic science that we all get ONLY WHAT IS DUE TO US !!!

Even if you stand head down legs up you will no get even a cent more than what is due to you. Helping other is only to supplent our dues.

Dear Ragavan Sir , your very right in phrasing the words , truth is stranger than fiction , and sometimes fiction can be the truth , yes it was incredible to get such an award and why he chose help from me is like an illusion that's hard to believe , but it did happen and that's the amazing part

Lightning strike,

You paid 500/- to a stranger.  Perhaps, after seeing him off, on that day, you might even be wondering whether it is justified to part with that 500.

But, you gave that money to a Samaritan.  I find that reward aspect difficult to believe.  Perhaps  I may give credence to your post if you had said  that he refunded 1000/- or even 2000/- .  Well.  You parted with 500/- to a worthy friend.

But, one thing we all must admit.  TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION.  One lakh rupees, is a decent amount.  Enjoy.

Shri. Raghavan ji:

What I wrote about Rs 50/- took place long back when I was working in Bombay. It was just an accidental one if I had Rs 10/- I would have given that Rs 10/- I also never expec

ted the payment of Bonus. Everry thing took place unplanned. I just mentioned that if any of us had similar occasion and what took place afterwards if the can recollect some clue could be seen. One thing giving money to friends at the Race course is slightly different than giving to a helpless lame person in the strret.

I have also gave many times to our friends. Once I gave to a person money since he lost all that he brought and I told him the clue go and play the horse ridden by Suraj Nareddu and is sure the odds was 18/10 that idiot wnt played other horse 4 to 1 ridden by Sandhesh and lost my money also. Suraj Nareddu won that Race. This gave me impression we can get ONLY only something due in our account.

If something due to we will get any way not necessarily from RACES

some time we are really fools chasing the mirage without knowing the actual truthneglecting the main source of income !!!!

I used to blame a person who used to come all the way from NAGPUR to Bombay with overnight train journey just to play aces. Now  I feel laughing myself when I felt going to Honkong !!!!  2 years before I even wanted to go to Australia when our Trevor was riding there. He could just win only one Race there - NO ANNOMOSITY.

Once I wento Honkong from Bombay just for V.Shinde. Fortunately he won both the Races he rode there. It is worth thinking how Races mad us mad in many direction.

For your kind info I am also in Racing since Commanche beat Redcocade in Bangalore Derby I think 1976 We have survived due to our education and we never crossed our boundaries and never went for Heavy Betting forgetting the future consequences.

Best Regards

Mr Ayyarnet , a very nice write up , I can give u many testimonials that I've faced or witnessed but would like to be a little brief , firstly I'm not a big gambler neither I read race book for selections, I just take selection choices from some hi tech professionals like Dharmesh Sir , sorry Sir , I could not wish him on Horsetalk as I had some important work , nevertheless if you are reading this post I'm wishing you a belated Happy Birthday, the likes of Mr Chankya , Cruise , Bobby , Ruchi , Shyam , Golden girl , Vijay Bangalore , and a few moretheir selections are very talented  , yes I did feel the skin texture of a racing horse in the race course but equally disappointed with the same in a different place at the beach , while I was lifting my niece for a horse ride I was like given a friendly bite by the horse on my right shoulder my delicate skin got red and swollen like and it took a week to heal , another but most interesting incident and that IL never forget till date was inside the racing course , it was Mumbai racing ,and in the  3 rd race a punter well dressed approaches me and ask me if I could loan him 500 rupees , I was baffled , wondering if I'm going to be bamboozeld by this guy , why would a tall handsome looking man come to me for help as he looked quite elegant in his dressing , was wondering if he was a snake charmer,  u never know in these days and age who can be a con man or really in help or distress , to my astonishment my hands took over my heart and in my right conscience I did give him the 500 as he promised me he would give it to me the very next day , well I had lots of commited work pending and house chores , and it took me nearly 2 weeks to enter the course once again .

what happened this time was the karma effect , I was in the betting ring when this guy whom I helped gave me a big hug and requested me to see him by the members enclosure, well on seeing him he just thanked me profusely and said how  hard it's to find good people like me, he was very abrupt and suddenly pressed a bag a small one and told me only when I leave the course to look at the gift , I promised him and wished him well and thanked him and he told me his name and gave his visiting card and in a friendly way said bye and vanished , since it was a small bag I just inserted it in my pocket like wanting and eager to find what it could be , though I felt it was like a tiny book ,  well I was not bothered to open this coloured bag till I reached home , kept it in my locker had a lovely shower sat an had a cup of tea and then decided to open the bag , to my mighty surprise it was one bundle of rupees 2000 notes , I counted it and just how amazing when you count one lakh rupees , I was pinching myself to feel if I was real , this effect lasted a month , was this a blessing in disguise or the saying expect the unexpected, Yes I still keep in touch with him and thanked him for that wonderful pay back ,all this sounds too good to be true , that's a part of life friends ,  he is now living in South Africa with his family , yes sometimes life is a mystery and with every mystery it depends how we unravel it , so take care and hoping racing starts soon at least for the moment , online .

Ayyarnet,

You subscribe to school of thought that if you helped the needy, the Almighty will ensure that you will get returns in severl multiples.

Well.  Some punters who are orthodox, may actually upvote your theory.  But, generally people will not have either time or patience to experiment your theory.

Say, you got bonus 7k; and earlier you parted with 50/- to a stranger.  O K.  Your generosity will certainly cheered.  But, to link that donation of 50/- to the 7000 bonus that you received is a bit far fetched.  You would have got that bonus even if you had paid 10/- to that stranger or not paid him even one phootee kowdee.

I have paid 15/-, 25/- etc to fellow punters (total strangers) several times.  Such generosity I might have exhibited about 20 times.  But, I am in betting for over 35 years.   So, that generosity is not my natural trait.  But, never I expected to get anything from Almighty for that gesture.  If the Almighty had blessed me with higher returns, solely because of my so called generosity, that is his business.

Some say, our wins/losses in race course are preordained.  This I believe.  Why?  I have no answer.  That is called Vidhi or Destiny.  This may also be one branch of vedic science!

So, you believe in give and take policy.  You believe in TRUTH.  Nothing wrong in that.  Let your actions flow from what is TRUTH according your convictions.  God is in heavens.  HE will decide whether any reward is due to you or not.

Agreed. Long time back I wrote in similar lines in this forum. That if we win on a day we shd thinkvwe are keeping some others money. If we lose we have given gack retained money. Every individual must gave earned something at the beginning. Later they Lise what they earned earlier. Nobody can win everyday and build bungalow, depisits in gsnjs. Is there any  one any punter came across?

I have seen many Race horses at very close in stables but not touched.ofcoursr have enjoyed ride on pony.

@Ayyarnet

I am hoping the person deciding to petition Supreme Court against racing does mention of his betting ways. He says that on one occasion he was in the plus by 2 lakhs only to lose it all the very next day.
I wouldn't be surprised if the judge dismisses his cae by using the common phrase, A fool and his money are soon parted.
I rest my case with that.
