Brazilian jockey ( and arch and main rival of Z Purton  ) Joae Moreira's one mistake on sunday at Sha Tin, H K in last race on his mount Lucky Express cost him heavily and he is now completely out of the race for jockeys championship title of this term and paved the way to his rival Australian popular jockey and darling boy of the Hong Kong crowd to receive the award without any further contest.  J Moreira, pleaded guilty before the stewards for careless riding on Lucky Express when he shifted on Z Purton at the 150 m mark, and the stewards not only fined him 150,000 HK dollars but suspended him for one meeting on last day of the season  that is on July, 15 -- which means he can't ride at happy valley on that concluding day of the season.  He is already facing a earlier ban for similar offence for 8th July meeting / races at happy valley. This means he will be riding in only one meeting out of remaining three meetings that is only on 12th July at  Sha Tin. 
     The Australian maestro of racing Z Purton already established a good long lead of six wins over nearest rival J Moreira and is free to ride in all three remaining meetings further  indicate that no miracle can back JM in contention and K Teetan is faraway at third position on 88 wins compare to ZP's 141 wins and JM's 135 wins. Now the excitement and interest left only for trainers championship title where PF Yiu leading with 64 wins, followed closely by F W Lui on 63 wins and further behind is A S Cruz on 60 wins. Competition  entered for final phase now with three more meetings and the first one is scheduled at happy valley  ( night racing ) on wednesday 8th July from 4.15 pm IST with a nine race card.
