It's the start,,,  and time to pack up and go , no races for this year , with the pandemic peaking at alarming heights some are so eager to start racing , online racing also is gone for a toss , now just wait for the other centres to follow suit , as I recon Puna will come out shortly with their announcement, well we have to wait with patience till the right moment comes to start racing in a clean manner , with so many alarming  corona cases and deaths wouldn't be surprised in a few months India may be the number one of corona case and fatalities, I feel more importance should be given to eradicating this virus completely or till a instant relief vaccine is found , I'm also sure that all other sports will also be banned ,  please let's concentrate on the welfare and health of our families and friends first that's the most important priority  , for this year no need to start any racing related topics which has no significant importance , let's try to be safe and hold on to our family . 

Bangalore Turf Club on Tuesday officially called off the Bangalore Summer Race Meetings, Times of India reports today.  The BTC informed the Race Horse Owners Associaiton about the decision and told them that the entry money for three classics will be refunded.  (Courtesy: The Times of India, Dated 16/07/2020, Page No.10)

Of course, there are some who believe that bookies will function illegally for these non betting races also.

I think betting on cricket is illegal in India.  But, betting is accepted on cricket in a large scale.

Such illegal betting can not be stopped.  

And, 90% of bets in the normal course is itself illegal.  Punter pays 10% extra.  Bookie gives card for 150/- when the bet is for 5000.  So, let us not worry too much about the possible illegal bets.

This races (non betting races) are intentionally framed for the big boys of racing industry in the name of good cause. 

Bookies will operate illegally, punters will jumped on it in huge number. Unexpected result will be in store no one will crack those. 

Big Boyes will get their reimbursement and after that tsunami originally race will start in India with online betting and with a new glory.

May be in future India will attract betting from other country also. 

One tips from my side for those non betting race days - favorite in low graded races can oblige more than the high rated races. 

Those are only my assumptions I will be happy if I became wrong. 

these races will not be mock races.  Winning amount to owner will be transferred and bookies will also operate illegaly.

All these plans will not materialize. Govt announced lockdown for 8 days. May extend again. 

No tote bets was planned but evenbookies were ready to do business. Now all dreams goes for a toss. Those intending to watch for time pass , that too ....

Very good team  effort by BTC to conduct  Racing  

If they  provide all the tote centre  with  all the  Corona  precaution like checking  the temperature  and hand sanitizer and social  distance it is possible  because  they are many  tote counters outside  BTC they can  provide all the facilities so that btc can  tackle bravely covid 19

10 days race meetngs from Aug 21.  No totalizators.  And most importantly NO ONLINE BETTING either.

Only owners earn some stake money! 

And jockeys/trainers will earn their share in stake money.
