The ten and half month long flat horse racing season  of HKJC concluded today at happy valley, Hong Kong and as expected P F YIU got the champion trainer title first time in his 25 years of career at HKJC and Z PURTON got his fourth champion jockey title. Total 828 races were held during more than 80 race meetings held at Sha Tin and Happey Valley. The season for 2019-20 started at HKJC on 1-9-2019 and successfully ended today. P F Yiu and Z Purton achieved well deserves titles and their success and glory to be complimented. I extend my whole hearted congratulations to both,  for their hard work and achievement . The award presentation ceremony will be held tomorrow at Rose wood, HK. 
      John Moore who also retired at the conclusion of this season will be awarded a life time achievement award tomorrow  . He bagged seven time champion trainer award during his long career at HKJC. 
     At happy valley today's honours shared by three jockeys with two wins each - Z Purton, K Teetan and C Y Ho. Three trainer's also shared this honours with two wins each - D J Hall, F C Lor and A S Cruz. The final tally of top three trainers and jockeys at the table was -- Trainers - P F Yiu 67  wins, A S Cruz 65 wins and F W Lui 63 wins. Jockeys - Z Purton 147 wins, J Moreira 138 wins and K Teetan 93 wins. 
     HKJC is a world leader in flat horse racing sporting and betting entertainment. HKJC also attends many charity , social and community programs and acts continuously for the betterment of society. They successfully and hurdle free conducted all  race meetings during this season  even while facing strikes, agitation and corona pandemic virus related issues. During past 5-6 months race meetings were conducted without spectators  and jockey, trainer, officials and supporting staff weared  face masks . (  during last few meetings  limited  number of public allowed with reservations and guidelines. ) I congratulate HKJC too  for smooth conduct of the lengthy season. New season will commence from September first week for 88 race meetings at Sha Tin and Happy Valley during 1920-21.

     David Haynes the Australian hall of farmer will join as trainer during the new season. HKJC offered record prize money of 1.4 billion HK dollars for new season. . This is up by 4.9 percent compare to 2019-20 season and it is very attractive for overseas competitors.  Once again Kudos to all award winners and HKJC for competitive and exciting horse racing.
