My question is why should the Government, fighting the Covid pandemic, grant permission to a gambling act like horse racing at this juncture? Already the middle class is suffering after having lost their regular jobs. So, now they may have to borrow money and come and lose it for the "welfare" of the clubs? The Government may not even consider resuming racing till April 2021. If Education across the country is being affected so badly and looks like getting normal only during the next academic year, racing can very well wait. Who is even otherwise bothered whether horses run or not? I am happy that many people have saved a lot of money since March, thanks to Corona.

Hello folks,
The Govt. may give permission to start racing by enforcing strict regulations. That being of not having spectators ( punters ).
I am quite optimistic. It may happen by mid-September or early October.

In view of the Sports Ministers statement banning all sports activities till Oct 20 , can RWITC commence racing in August as stated by Zavary Poonawalla who also claims to be on the verge of getting approval for online betting .

Hi,
Did sports minister consider horse racing as sports? First we need to check...if yes then GST will be very less.
TAI should contact sports minister for better clarification.
