Friend's,
I likes to discuss some points which may help racing fans. The racing is going to start after almost long layoff, how to find a winner in the first two weeks.
1- If any horse performed better after previous layoff is the one to be noted.
2- Horses will perform better in shorter distance after long lay off
3- Gamble on trainers with better strike rate in short distances
4- Powerful stables will try to grab maximum purse by trying all their mounts.
5- Graded horses running down class to be noted
6-Avoid long distance races at the beginning, as to tackle the distance more conditioning required, so upsets can happen in long distances
7-Gate practice, and solid jump out is the most important point to observe with in ters of horse readiness
8- Hard riding jockies may have an upper hand as many owners andvtrainers looking for corn bill
Your opinions please

Nikhil Ranjan Das , wonderfull letter you have written.Very important news this is . Since many days I wanted to write a letter narrating with this type of information, but could not do because no person from this forum will support me ,as everyone thinks that a punter is always a looser. If you observe carefully the punters,at Tote centers as well as main race course center( I am speaking of Hyderabad city, may be same with other cities) above 30% of them will be senior citizens. They come regularly to race course, even if races are there 7 days a week. If punters are ,on the whole , loosers and loosers how their children and family members are allowing them to play the races daily. Most of them are retired, and most of them won’t get any pension, yet they come regularly to races paying auto charges and entry fees etc.I being a senior citizen have some same age group friends. They enter racecourse daily with Rs 1500 to 2000 . They bet Rs 500 or 1000 on one or two horses in a day, that too place on favourites. Of course favourites every time need not be placed. Play or not to play on favourite depends on the wise decision of the punters. The fear of loosing money make these old people perfect in taking proper decisions.generally most of these people go home, what I heard, at least with + Rs 50/—. No loss means, taken amount is profit ,this should be the punters formula . Friends,we have to accept that some of the punte’s livelihood is racing only. Their system of betting is different from that of the punters who play for excitement and earning. Simply we should not shout all ways that poor punters are robbed, poor punters are robbed. But WISE punters & senior citizens are winners generally.

I have been following the layoff horses throughout my punting career. Some horses have paid out huge and many have not. Wagering on these Layoff horses is really challenging task. A complete case study is very much in need. Just to mention
FINEBARRISTER 15/1 come back after a 6month Layoff due to injury on right fore fetlock.
VISCOUNT (Ex Gestapo) 80/100 come back after a 2 years layoff due to set back in the training and picked up an injury!
But now the scenario has changed! All the horses have take a break of 7 months or more, trainers, owners & jockeys are very much in need of win just to fill the bills. Racing would be very competitive than before. Especially the graded and stake race’s! Handicap racing would look even more tougher to the punters because the trainers would enter they best horse’s in demotion and promotions.
My personal view is, just sit back and enjoy racing for at least one month and then start punting.
Let the dust settle down and you can get a clear picture

Do not expect Bangalore season to start anytime soon. November 1 start looks almost ruled out. The PAC has submitted a report to the State government to recover approximately 34 crore rent balance, to initiate proceeding to cancel the licence of the club and also to speed up the eviction petition in the High Court.
BTC have only themselves to blame

Yes absolutely right we have to be alert that horses are in sleeping mode since a long time so any horse will perform at this time of stage we also take chances on long odds horses for place and win
