Tote Dividends

Can somebody explain what tote dividends are? How are odds calculated from that? Like yesterday in Hyderabad, the jackpot carryover dividends were ?12,000 something. What does that mean? How much money is carried over? How to calculate? Very confused with it. Kindly explain if anybody knows. Thanks in advance:)

the Carried over money Is which isn't solved. But the thing is 12000 is not the actual collection. It was the amount after deduction of club commission.  Actual Money may be something around collection of 25000 INR.

I understand the carried over part, just wanted to ask what is the ?12,000 dividend equal to in ?? Meaning is only ?12,000 carried over? Which means there was only 12k in the jackpot pool?

Carried over means nobody won that 12000 something, it will be added to next Hyderabad day to jackpot pool... 

Which means that days collection amount of jackpot tickets and this 12000 will be given as dividend payment, any other enquiry please ask....
