SELECTIONS : KOLKATA : 3rd Feb '21

1-1. ADORINDA.
Beat Nandini's pet in her last and only outing, and who in turn went on to win by a distance beating SIMRAN'S PET....running here. Retaining form ,while also expecting further improvement after her maiden run, ADORINDA  could as well trounce this poor batch. Consider BEOWULF, due to a positive jockey change, for SHP.

2-7. DOTHRAKI.
The only one showing current form and with Suraj atop, should have no problems, in holding back WANDERING ANGEL,a good SHP.

3-1. GHOST.
You just can't write him off even after losing out twice to Avellino. Tracking extremely well with stablemate CLIFFHANGER  he should be third time lucky this time and thus complete his elusive hat trick of wins this season. PINATUBO, at bottom weights, having run a flying 2nd to Black Pearl over a mile, is the only possible threat..over this extra 400 mtrs.

4-1. TREASURE HUNT...........................DAY'S BEST
OUTSTANDING chance of the day. 'Aayega aur Jayega'. Had beaten LITTLE FINGER by a distance, and who incidentally, at level weights, fell a length shy off AROUND THE WORLD. Both are competing here with Treasure Hunt. At best, they are SHP//Place bets.

5-1. AIR COMMAND
A demotee, yet a consistent runner from South India... (last run was 3rd to Cerise Noir in Cl-1,.returned lame though) His recent gallops show that he is fit enough to take on the local competition, most likely to be headed by VALLERYSTHAL.

6-1. TUTANKHAMUN.
Ignore his last run with AWESOME ONE and PRINCE SATSUMA , being his first essay on Kolkata tracks. Prior to that, it came a good second to Multifaceted, in Mysuru, (Rc113), where it had also finished 3 lengths ahead of Awesome One (besides giving him 2 kgs). Any student of handicapping ought to conclude therefore, that TUTS is better off on revised weights.. The same logic // comparison to apply in the case of Awesome One's last clash with Prince Satsuma. Only thing going against him is that he is a year older than both his principal rivals.

7-7. BEAT THE BANK.
A difficult race to identify a winner. I guess, I would have to choose between 3 possible contenders. To be frank, I am trying to be proactive  by predicting a trainer's likely double,.to mature in the last race of the day.
My First choice is the rank outsider;BTB. A likely dounble of trainer Jasbir Singh with Air Command in Race 5. Seems to be well prepared with stable mate Pinatubo.  
RIGHT CHOICE is my second choice...... double for trainer Mckeown with ADORINDA (Rc-1)
Last but not the least, PORTOFSPAIN.; trainer Alford's double or even a treble. Shining in the tracks with his class-1 stablemate Tutankhamun. Should Tuts win in the previous race, POS could be considered a sitter here.

KOLKOTTA the most .....what shall I say..every week same horses run against each other.Horses which were beaten out of sight come and best almost similar bunch ,with conviction.No questions asked.

Four main owners have their horses with VIJAY SINGH,MCKEOWN,VIKAS,BHARAT and Javed.So..iits very easy .

TOMMOROW the most interesting is the 6 th.All main hopers like PRINCE SATSUMA/ AWSOME ONE/ NEW ENGLAND/ AMOROUS WHITE have raced agsinst each other takeing turns to finish ahead.All three have also as per terms of race gone down by 1.5 kgs.

Let's see what tricks they play TOMMOROW.It will be very glaring no doubt as AMOROUS WHITE has veen beaten out if sight teic.

1-3 BERLUTI - By Burden of Proof. Ran a very good race recently over 1400m leading fromt the word go until beaten 3rd in last 100m. Now with 300m less to travel will go wire to wire. Apprentice Aditya might get his first win on this one. Adorinda might have to settle for an SHP again.

4-7 AROUND THE WORLD - Won very impressively over 1100m beating Little Finger by 1L. Looking at the replay ATW was running in the first three and came with a burst of speed in the last 200m to overtake LF. In later race LT got beat by Treasure Hunt over 1200m. Now ATW has guidance of Neeral will be hard to beat.

5-6 SHIMMERING STAR - By Strong Suit. Won wire to wire over 1100m in a class 3 race 1:5:01 carrying 60Kg. Now travelling 100m more in a higher class carrying 53.5Kg is an advantage. Vallerysthal won in class 3 over 1200m 1:11:98 with 61.5Kg and now carrying 58Kg which is not a huge advantage. Comparing both my preference goes to SS.

6-4 AWESOME ONE - By Dean's Kitten. Lost narrowly to Prince Satsuma over 1200m. I think might reverse the placings in this race over 1400m.Tatunkhmun has lost touch and I feel Arrowfield as well. There will be fight again between the two good horses and jockeys, Awesome one for me.
