For better understanding, I would like to clarify that I avoid playing hot favourites as far as possible.

Yesterday I played only two races EQUAL AMOUNT from my home.

It was a DOUBLE for SAFIQE KHAN & SAMIR KHAN 

1-3 BERLUTI @ 5 (WON)

3-7 TAHOE @ EVEN (2nd.)

I was happy & closed further betting.

It is never easy to WIN in races wheather KOLKATA or ANY OTHER CENTER.

Let us admit the facts.  It is not easy to win in races at Kolkata.  The point proved yesterday.  Though there was no necessity of any proof!

Jackpot at BNG paid 12,470.  And, three favorites Ghost, Jake & Rainbow trout obliged in jackpot races.  The two flukes Seasky & Sheer force not total outsiders.  (the win dividend on these two horses are 83 & 96).

What I am surprised at is in spite of Kolkota horses hammering the punters left, right & center, there was high betting at tote (5k) on the losers.  Still there are two days' racing left at Kolkata in the current season.  Hope our punter friends will salvage some of their losses.

In the event of deadheat the total amount, i.e. your betting amount plus winning amount, will be divided by two in case of two horses are concerned. In the case of three the total amount will be 1/3. Hope u r clear now.

Whether bookies are operating or not operating.  Kolkata is a difficult center for horse punters.  For those bold enough to take chance on 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th favorites the center may be heaven.  But, those who prefer favorites in 80% of their bets, the Kolkata horses will teach some harsh lessons.

This is happening for too long time.  Yet the spirited betting has not come down.   Yesterday, there were bets of 5k from many punters on losers.  At tote.  

Today jakpot appeared very easy to solve.  I purchase the jackpot ticket only when there is c/f amount.  

So I took JP ticket 2,5/2,5/3/4,7,8/2,8,10.  Looked my jp combination unbeatable.  But, Kolkata horses smashed my JP ticcket in the 1st leg itself.  Can you think of 1224/- forecast payout in a 5 horse field?  Of course there will be box forecast of 200 tickets from master bettor at Betindiaraces & Paytm betting sites.

Total amount for distribution = W + 2/3 P divided by 2 between A & B horses.

Final dividend for A horse = A/ winning tickets and for B/ winning tickets.

Total win Collection minus GST & Club Comm. = W

Total Place collection minus GST & Club Comm. = P 

Win Dead-Heat between 2 horses.

((W + P/3(one third place money) ) divided by 2 ( A & B )

Final dividend = A/ No of winning ticket for horse A & B/No of winning Tickets for horse B.

Mahi in case of dead heat as was the case in kolkatta in last race , the place will be paid for both the horses ie 2 and 10. The amount will be divided by 2 ie if somebody played 1000 rs place on horse no 10 at even money then his total payout was 2000 rs which will be divided by 2 so he will get 1000 only. Same will be done for horse no 2.

SPS  amazing question. So if there are no bookies then all the fav will win. You mean to say fav is pulled then only it looses and bookies are the once who pull the favs. This is just laughable.

      Many people in racing believe that fav has wings and every fav should win. First learn why one horse is given the fav status.

u r right ghost have best form but wt I mean is INCA came good second to APSARA STAR while latter horse went to Mumbai course recently again it went SECOND to too good SALAZAAR for that I had little upper edge to INCA as rider also in form if u compare SURAJ is more capable than HINDU

1-3 BERLUTI - By Burden of Proof. Ridden by an apprentice without whip and had a 6L lead turning for home, but I dont know what happened. Now going the same distance with apprentice replaced by Sameer Khan. Ahnika running a class down and Zodiac Prince with an apprentice on board will fight for SHP/Place.

2-7 LUMOS - Ran a very good 7th over 1100m 1:5:56 and extra 200m will suit and again weight advantage with an apprentice on board. I am sure you will get good odds to go for an eachway bet.  Daring Heart last run over 1400m, filly could not handled well by Hindu Singh. Now running 200m less to travel and with Suraj taking the ride is the danger will place for sure.

3-7 TAHOE - Recent 3rd over 1400m 1:27:00 is good for this category of 1-26. Now travelling the same distance with Sameer Khan retained to ride has a decent chance to see the winning post this time.

4-5 THE INDICATOR - Consistent in last three runs 2-3-2 over 2000m and couple of 1600m races. Ran 2nd to Intellection in a 2000m race, but now with the 8Kg diff in weights I am sure will reverse the placings.  Seasky will not go without a fight.

5-5 GHOST - By Winlegend. Very consistent in last few runs. Last run was a good 1/2L 2nd over 2000m 2:5:41 behind Clifhanger who won again. Running in higher company, being the only 4yr old in the race got great opportunity at bottom weight of 50Kg. Suraj cannot ride because of individual weight. Hindu singh is good enough to win.

6-3 JAKE -  By Winlegend. Beating Galen in both wins. Both by Winlegend, Suraj was on board both times. Owners/Trainer and jockeys same who rode before. This time Suraj might be hot favorite. Distance is 1600m. It will be Jake, Galen and Cletus fixed tanala.

7-4 RAINBOW TROUT - Two run and two wins in Kolkata since moving from Mumbai. Last win over 1400m by 5L beating  class1 runners New England, Capricious. Need to carry an extra 7Kg, will not make a difference, should win again. Suraj must have come for this two rides.

8-2 KIMAYA - Very consistent this season, a verstile runner, performing at different distances from 1400m to 2400m,  three 2nd and four times 3rd this season. RN Dharshan is come to take this only ride. Last run 1.75L 3rd was over 1400m in a class2. Now running at top weight in class3. Great opportunity to win this season.
