May be BTC cancelled kolkatta race because of ongoing strike by BMTC bus drivers. Tote workers and punters would find it difficult to reach racecourse.

Let us pray for corona-mukth bharat (or world) and let there be all round peace.

Noble thoughts.  Corona has swallowed too many lives.  But, we were under the impression that corona for all purpose has been effectively tamed  before corona wave 2 struck all over India with double brutality.

Prayers, sahasra chandi homa, koti gayathri japa etc are only for self satisfaction.  How much it will help to tame corona is not known.  But, for our greedy Club management, it has helped them to shore up some extra revenue by charging exorbitant entry fees.

You please read my post again.  There was no double standard from my side.  Please do not jump to conclusions.

I only said, BTC has not conducted off course betting for nearly 3 months on Mumbai races; it is not at all running ocb on Delhi races.  So we are used to the switch on & switch off drama of BTC.  

My objection was however regarding BTC; it could have informed the public about ts decision to cancel the betting on 9th April.  I am the last peson to cry even if BTC cancels all off course betting and live race betting.  If such a decision was taken in accordance with Government order, then that is understandable.  If the decision was taken by BTC on its own, then also no problem.  What I said is the Club should have informed the public about such decision.

So, Ooty races are from 14th April.  Whether it runs OCB in respect of Ooty races?  Let them inform through their website the status!

You are from Pune.   And  Maharashtra is in the grip of lock down.  Corona cases are on the rise at BNG also.  Let the BTC/Government take appropriate decision.
