By Prasannaa | 30-May-2021Idid not bet on International races last Lear as I was not so keen. I started betting on International horse racing 3 weeks back after Ooty races were called off, but now I have stopped betting on International races, reason being betting sites misguide people.
I look at the market trend before deciding on a bet in any race because I don't know past performance of international trainers or Jockeys. So getting idea from market trend is the only thing I can look upto, and this is where I felt cheated by betting sites, including bet 365. This is what I have observed
1) If a horse has opened at 2.5 and is backed down till even money, only after the race is over the results will declare it's odds as even. But even when the race is about to start the odds will be hovering around 1.75-2, which only reflects that there has been some betting but it is not heavily backed. This we get to know only after the race, so we lose an opportunity to earn good money.
2) If a horse is at 1.5 and the odds increase in market to 3-4 and the horse loses, we will get to know only after race is over, that too if the horse runs second or third. But before the race starts the odds will be around 2 which does not indicate that the odds have changed drastically and a higher probability that the horse will lose.
For people who are not sure, I request them to check on odds before race and after race in results section, especially on bet365.
I would rather save money for now and start betting when races in India begin as there we don't have to rely on online betting sites.
