 It's beyond the domain of ordinary human mind.

With due respect to SUDHEER,you gave good justification and choices.But 95 percentage of HT members gave the same horses without any detailed ,great study.So I feel that real study would be if one can find out how HEAD BOY ran second,how LESLEY beat P SATSUMA and  AWSOME ONE after being last two previous runs

Dear friends                                               In kalkatta most of the time we will have small fields only ,hence most of the time winner /place dividend will be paisa only.so if all tipped favorites means ..it is good..if you like the odds play for win ..that is better than laying a favorite and ending in loss. Today I strongly  fancied   3-1, night secret for win..good double for Manjri stud..but still I didn't play/ eat.. because I don't like any favorite below 80 paisa.that is better than some one telling in this forum to eat night secret.

I may have tipped 4 winners but I only had bets in 3 races today..

1st race: I watched Roman in the paddock and it looked very fidgety and on its toes doing all kinds of wrong things so I ate on Roman at 90p to win 10000 and I backed both 5 and 6 2500 each and I took a quinella for 2000 5 and 6..

The race yielded me very good money for my investment.

Then I waited till Cavallo veloce as it was quoted generously in the morning odds so I took 23/10 and had 10000 on it

In the last race I wouldn't have backed anything but as I was winning for the day I just backed the fav for 5000..

Too many bets will surely ruin your chances of winning.. I could have backed the other 3 favs I picked but I didn't feel like they are worth it at the price.. 

I just posted this to tell you that even I won't back my own selections sometimes..

Race 1: Everyone thinks that 5 Bemuse will have an advantage to WIN as shoe is changed to Aluminum,  6 SS is 2 1/4 lengths ahead of 5, both will fight for places, whereas 7 Tahoe, shoe is changed to steel and it will be less fancied, based on its previous runs and good trackwork, 7 has chance to upset. If 7 goes to front, it'll WIN, if not it will be placed at good odds. Taking chance on it.

Choice: 7 Tahoe EW, 7- 5,6 Forecast and Quinella.

Race 2: 1 Clear vision was not running good after gelding, 2 Adorinda has Jockey advantage and he will look to WIN on this, 6 Dothraki looking good in trackwork and needs this run after lay off.

Choice: 2 WIN, 

Race 3: 6 horses, 2 from each trainer, 1 RC good trackwork,  2 Appreciate was 2 lenghts behind 1 RC.

A small bet on 1 RC EW.

Race 4: 1 DH EW, 6 RB for place and upset chance: 5 Headboy(small bet).

Race 5: 5 Justified - PT must try to win on this good horse as it is from Mumbai,  if he pulls this, it will be board last as Attica in Hyd. If 6 NS is Fav at racetime, as this is Kolkata, it won't WIN and eat it.

Choice: 5 EW, 5 - 4,6 - 3,8.

Race 6: Main race for the day, all the horses are running after lay off except 1 CV which had run advantage in Chennai in which it was pulled by Imran which should have been placed, 7 A.W is a front runner and will fade out at 1000m, 5 lesrel has no chance in this field and out of form, remaining horses 2 P F good Trackwork and it won on its first run on Kolkata and beaten 3 P S by 2 1/4 lengths,  4 A O with PT is not a danger at all to 1,2 and 3 as Trevor is not riding good in any centre, 6 SP not good in tracks and Sandesh might try to place as it ran with superior horses, 8 Shivansh is the main horse for Vijay Singh as Hindu Singh is riding and good in tracks, but 2 P F has beaten it twice. 

Final choice: Race will be between 1,2 and 3. If 1 CV is fancied, 2 P F will go start to finish and 3 P S will be placed.

2 EW, 2- 1,3 Forecast and Quinella,  2- 1,3- 6,8 Tanala or 1- 2,3-6,8..

Race 7: last race will be a upset one to minimize JP tickets, 1 Eastside had won easily in previous run beating Isle of sky- good horse,  2 AS, Hindu Singh and Bharati Singh which is a wrong combo,

3 Nova will be fancied runner excellent trackwork, 6 might be placed, 7 AM which is a dark horse in this field,  10 EG with Rupal Singh might upset, 11 Z P last start winner will be a front runner again and will fade out at 1100, also Amyn merchant a mumbai Jockey won't be able to get a win in this field, 12 W A had a good mock race beating high rated horses before its previous run,

Final choice: tough race, if upsets won in any 2 above races, then 3 Nova will WIN, else upset chances will be for 1,7,10,12 in which 1 and 7 will try, but 7. AM will be a good upset win and place, 7 AM EW. :)

VIEW: ROMAN , i feel has improved its style of running, its a young horse In a spurt on 18/9 it has beaten DANDI SATYGRAHA by a distance. on that show i feel it will do it today.If it goes wide then SHIVALIK SILK is next best.

2= ADORINDA-BASHARAT

VIEW: BASHARAT again today is a safe place bet.

3= ROBINSON CRUSOE  , nobody can touch this one today.

4=DARING HEART-UNSTOPPABLE

VIEW: DARING HEART has run with superior class, its last run in race (3) was very good. it is since demoted, stable is doing very well this season. it should win. But odds will be poor. For ODDS seeker take a chance of UNSTOPPABLE SHP and PLACE.

VIEW: TOP NOTCH has no class here , rider is poor. but still it can place. PLACE chance worth .

However well intentioned you may be, please do not recommend roll of 4 horses to even your sworn enemy/enemies.  It will not click.  

By careful study, one may pick 4 winners in 4 races.  But, horses have a knack of under performing too often & four winners in a row is virtually impossible.

Forget about win.   Please do not recommend even place roll on 4 horses.  

Of course, no harm in selecting 4 bankers in a jackpot or mini jackpot pools.

Here are my selctions for kolkata 

Race 1: out of 9 horses, 4 are running with steel. From the remaining, Hercules was flat to the board last start and not likely to feature. Roman veered out in both of his starts recently given a mock race and he led amorous white.. so he is definitely speedy.. but the problem is he's very keen in the mock race and just has to find the rail to run in a straight course.. looks very inexperienced and wasting energy in the runs.. so from barrier 8 not for me.. Tasmania folded badly last start and trainer opting for no equipment tells me it would do the same again.. which leaves bemuse and shivalic silk to fight out again.. shivallic silk is better at weights and ran in front of bemuse last start and bemuse is having a change of shoe to counter that.. so its either 6 to beat 5 or the otherway around. I would go for bemuse as it races handier than shivalic silk...

Verdict: Bemuse ew, quinella 5 and 6

Race 2: proper class 5 event with any horse can win.. Adorinda is looking like the best horse but the jockey booking doesn't inspire any confidence.. every horse is looked out of sorts, really tough to find the winner in these races and I'm going with Dothraki to win and supernormal to run a place at odds.. you can pick anything.. 

Verdict: Avoid if possible, for compulsive gamblers 6 to win and 4 to place

Race 3: 6 gallioers and Robinson crusoe definitely looked better than the other 2 horses he ram against.. with natural improvement he should stand tall in this set but Alford again opted for a weak jockey inspite of that backing something against Robinson crusoe looks suicidal... back and hope that the jockey can ride or just watch the race..

Verdict: Definitely not a betting race, for eternal optimists its Robinson crusoe

Race 4: there's no natural leader in the race, which makes the pace very slow for this race. Annika may choose to lead.. if rare bird goes to the front its likely to run a place. It's a kind of race class droppers enjoy and it's daring hearts race to lose.. its a better than class 4 horse and should see through this set comfortably..adornica always looks good on paper and does nothing on the track...

Verdict: daring heart to win, rare bird to place

Race 5: the form around night secret looks too strong for this field should be a short price favorite.. couldn't find anything to beat it

Verdict: night secret win

Race 6: Cavallo veloce is a class above these horses if not two.. his race to lose. If he handles Calcutta track, should win easy..

Verdict : Cavallo veloce all the way

Race 7: Nova ran in better company than this lot.. course and distance winner last start, running in the same class looks the best.. zodiac prince ran a beautiful race in the last start and may sneak into the places despite being up in class.

Verdict: Nova to win and zodiac prince to place.

These are only my selctions according to the race card.. im telling you the followers of tips that no one can pick a winner 2 days before the race without knowing race conditions.i might back all of them or none of them depending upon race conditions..

As per my understanding only handful of people are trying pick the horse by actually working out the form.. many are experts who can pick by just reading the names in the card.. so be wary of the tips and have your own reason to back a horse..

1-5 BEMUSE - By Chevalier. Ignore the last run with an apprentice without whip can be considered a lung opener. Now replaced with RS Bhati on board. Shivalik Silk who was 2nd recently over 1100m 1:8:60 coming from behind and overtaking Bemuse who was 2.25L will place for sure.

2-2 ADORINDA - By Speaking of Which. Lightly raced, had just three runs so far. Tracking well and this is lower category race, I am sure more to come from this filly. Clear Vision had a run recently in a higher category is now running at top weight in lower cat. might place.

3-1 ROBINSON CRUSOE - By Phoenix Tower. just one run and a 2nd over 1400m last season and Appreciate/Shopify were 3rd/4th. Tracking beautifully. My order will be the same as before Robinson, Appreciate and Shopify. 

4-1 DARING HEART - By Multidimensional. Was given a run consider a lung opener over 1100m in a higher class. Now running a class down at top weight and extra 300m to travel shouldnt be a problem to handle in this category. Ahnika and Adornica who had recent runs too might fight for Shp/Place.

5-6 NIGHT SECRET - By Night of Thunder. Lightly raced and had couple of runs in term races and performed well too over 1600m. Resolute was given a run over 1200m recently is ready to travel this mile distance, will fight and place for sure.

6-4 AWESOME ONE - Not much to choose between Awesome One and Prince Satsuma. But I give slight preference to AO to reverse the placings with PS.

7-11 ZODIAC PRINCE - By Leitir Mor. Won in lower category wire to wire recently over 1100m 1:8:09 by more than 3L. Now with 4.5Kg less weight to carry and extra 100m to travel might go with the same tactics. Amyn on board will give you better odds. Eastside recent winner with better timings with ZP will not go without a fight and sure to place.
