royal ascot hardwicke stakes.in 1975 i was tasked to taking our stable royal manacle to royal ascot as we had  a pretty good chance to win iy.on the wat to ascot i saw a hrsebox of trainer peter walwyn stranded by the roadside so i stopped and offered their runner charlie bubbles a lift.in the race charlie bubbles beat us a head.such is racing.
