My Value selections in the first essay was not very satisfactory.

Out of 20 selections: 4 Winners (Average price 4.0), 7 placed second and rest were 3rd or unplaced.  However, it may be noted that, I had tried to avoid the hot favourites which were not value bets, in the real sense of the term, for a lay punter, although that could have increased my strike rate considerably.
