National Tote?

For the last two days, at BTC there is no consolation dividend on trinella & exacta.

Yesterday (29/12/2022), in races 4 & 5, place dividend was paid on horses finishing 1,2,3. In race no 4, there were only 6 runners (Alexander Dumas withdrawn) & in race no 5, there were 7 runners.

We have the announcement from the BTC. that National tote is operational. Proof? Place dividend is paid for horse finishing 3rd in a 7 horse field, stopped consolation exacta & trinella.

What does the "National Tote" means? Till last week, I was under the impression that once National Tote starts, the dividends in all the 9 racing clubs will be same.

Forget about linking of 9 race clubs; there is no common or combined dividend even between BNG & Mysore.

The "national tote" is national laughing stock.

Dear Raghvan and other friends

If nowadays BTC is paying PLACE when a horse comes THIRD in a seven (or less) horse field, WEATHER BOOKIES will also pay.

Please reply only after checking or answer all ready known.

This is very important for those who play Place with bookies.

Looks like the BTC has upgraded their system as per the specifications of national tote. As such the national tote is not operational. When all the clubs upgrades their systems to national tote specifications then only the national tote will start. Going by the competence of the clubs in this regards it may not be soon.

Horse racing clubs in India will not pay any heed to what a punter thinks or wants .

No matter what but punters will throng to the club's at BTC , MYS , HRC for sure
