Zume from 39 to 74 that is whopping 35 Points as per my calculations

Thanks for your wishes, and compliments of the season to you. 

Unfortunately, my roll bet didn't click, but thanks for your good wishes. In fact, when Cosmic Cowboy went so negative I knew my bet had failed, but I did pick the winner there, because, no doubt S Trainer was the favorite, but the one to be really backed there was Swift Lady, as it moved from opening odds of 4.5 to about 3/1, whereas S Trainer was stagnant at about the same odds as the opening odds. So my hedge bet there recovered my roll bet investment, and gave me some profit, and then, in the last race, R in Green odds were going up, and A Knight was being backed, but I chose to not have any bet there, as I was in the positive, and wanted to stay that way. 

As regards my logic about backing favorites in particular races, I'll try and post that logic based on tomorrow's races tomorrow.

Structure of the card today indicates that favorites will win in all the four handicap races. I guess, after about a week it's payback time for bookies.

I found the Kolkata card interesting and here are my picks:

Race 1: ALMAS - Looks set for a win today, regardless of the odds.

Race 2: HARVESTIME - Should secure a top-two position.

Race 3: SNOWFALL - Faced disappointment as a favorite last time but with solid mock sessions and promising form in tracks, it could win if the odds are over 3, otherwise skipping might be wise.

Race 4: COSMIC COWBOY - Given an easy mock, it seems ready for victory.

Race 5: LONG LEASE - With a promising mock and Suraj on saddle, representing Villoo Poonawalla Racing, it holds strong potential.

Race 6: AMBER KNIGHT - Displayed satisfaction in the last victory, finishing strongly. With a weight advantage over older horses and Jockey S Saqlain having the potential for another victory, it's a strong contender.

Extra distance may not suit for its pedigree of Meropi I would say. Long lease is for Calcutta oaks. Comments of HT ians are appreciated

1-3 ALMAS - By Charm Spirit. Unfortunately just 1 win of 16 starts. Started from Hyd, Pune, Mum, Pune and now landed in Kolkata. Had a mock race to start on a winning note.

2-5 HARVESTIME - Recent run 2nd 3/4L behind the winner 1:25:64 I am confident that it will come ahead of the recent winner 3 CLIFFORD over 1400m 1:26:24 who is running in higher class now.

3-4 SAVVY CHIC - Won with PS and later couple of runs 3rd in both over 1400m/1600m. Now will reverse the placings due to weight advantage against 3 TIGRIO. 7 SNOWFALL might need this run moving from Pune.

4-1 EASTSIDE - Recent couple of runs over 1100m were good. UK jockey Shariq Mohd will get its first win here. SWIFT LADY recent 2nd over 1100m 1:7:16 Now going the same distance and with Imran Chisty will not go without a fight. Might settle for place. 

5-3 MEROPI - Last run can be ignored behind 2 LONG LEASE over in 1600m in 1000 guineas. Before in Bangalore was a good 2nd behind Jamari in fillies G1. Should be able to travel the longer distance. 5 SEA EAGLE might place.

6-1 MAKHTOOB - Ran a good 2nd recently over 1600m. It has to beat 2 RAPSODY who was also 2nd in a 1600m race. My preference goes to Makhtoob.
