Thanks for bringing this topic up and refreshing some old memories. There are many memorable ones and the ones I recollect are Temerity winning in Bangalore. I had played Hall of Famer in the Indian derby and then played Temerity in the invitation. I also remember Tintinabulation winning in Kolkatta with Onassis running second. I had played both these horses. The most heartbreaking was when Juliette lost to Adjudicate in Mysore.

For me 07-03-2015 the day Be safe was literally forced to loose by Quaser is most unforgettable memories in invitation cup. That set back if you make any punter remember you will find tears coming out of each n every eyes.  Loosing n winning is part of this game. But their have been very few loyal owners n trainers in this circuit. Late Mr. M. M Ramaswamy stood head n shoulder high above everyone.  No doubt Narredu family have done lots of good things but this consiperacy which father n sons played was really heart broken for many of us.  Many people lost faith n started hating narredu family. I hope that now this family will always be faithful but as said dog tails can't be straight as proven in Indian Derby in Mumbai recently. 

Own Opiinion to beat Royal Tern. The most tactical race ever viewed. Old timers will remember the Karl Umrigar on Royal Tern and Jagdish on Own Opinion.

For me it was in 1980 or 1982 i think when Track Lightning won the invitation in a 4 way photo finish.
If my memory is right
1st Track Lightning

2nd was Furioso
3rd was Evita
4th was Potential Champion
Verdict was sh,sh,sh.

I think the one that Simply Supreme won with Samuel Fargeat. It was one of those invitation where Indian and Calcutta Derby Winner Psychic Flame, Oaks Winner Estonia, Hyderabad Derby Winner Red Orchid, Bangalore Derby Winner Star Of Windsor were running with many other good horses as well. Simply Supreme was Favorite in Indian Derby, but it ran a miserable race. However it showed in the Invitation it's true class. It's worth watching race. It's available on YouTube. 

For me it is 1997 Invitation cup won by MINISTERIAL(Jimmy Fortune up)from Vijay Mallya"s CROWN TREASURE.It was a  photo finish between the duo.The other greats  who were in the same race included INDICTMENT,ARABIAN ROSE,DONEGAL and SANTORINI STAR

Still now I didn't see such compitetive race , recent races are not such sparkling to entertain

Why so special for me is because I entered the race course first time in life at BTC ,also I had a five rupees win ticket on it .it paid rupees 69 for win.

The favourite in the race was BUCK PASSER ridden by REMEDIOUS and trained by M MANGLORKAR,the father of current trainer Arjun MANGLORKAR.

More memorable as very next race PICKWICK ( a grey horse,card no 3,,ridden by A woods) won a 2000 mts race start to finish.i had a five rupees ticket on it to ,it paid ,rupees 100 plus for win.
