In one of the post Leading to Invitation cup , Mr Sudheer very logically explained how if pace is fast Juliet will be a different beast than what we saw in her last encounter , where DYF was very close to her in finish .Today Pace was scorching with Front runners cutting the pace and Queen wins by 8L smashing track record. Kudos to Jockey who judged the race to perfection.

Juliette -- What a mare! 

In my 35 years of racing, never saw another mare like Juliette. She has defied every logic in racing. Most, may not be in a race fit condition, leave alone winning at a highest level!!. At age 8 , she is like a grandma, running against youngsters at their peak ; but she has seen them all. Today she won without being extended, yet won in record time. Her hat trick of wins at Invitation may never be broken. The mind wishes that she should go on and on. She should rank among the greatest of all time. I am indeed fortunate to witness her win many times.

Whatever analysis you wrote, Julliette did exactly opposite of that. She sat at the very rear end. She was almost 15 lengths behind Champions way when 1100m was left. And then as the horses turned in the final straight. She Romped home easily. She is a Wonder mare!

It was almost like a cake walk for Champion mare Juliette. It looked like , every one , including the rivals love the Winder Mare.

Neither Jamari not Synthesis put up a fight. The times clocked by Jamari, Touch of Grey and Synthesis says a lot.

It will be interesting to watch the future contests between Jendayi, Jamari, Synthesis and Madame Rich.

Juliette was seen struggling last time out. Too much is expected from this wonderful horse. She may prevail this time also can't say.

I prefer Jamari to lift the Invitation Cup. Master Trainer Shroff will add one more feather to his cap today. Synthesis will follow Jamari.

MINECRAFT -> Hyderabad based horse . Noted last four runs. Front batch runner. Change in Jockey. Last two runs No use of whip . Don't know what will P Sai Kumar do.

MISS AMERICAN PIE -> Pune and Mumbai based horse. Till bend remains in middle bunch. Somebody said it ran 4th to JENDAYI can't be ignored. I completely agree but I burned my hands on DEMOCRACY for place . Yes last four runs noted. Can't be ignored . Excellent galloping after 200m , (Use of whip )

ADJUSTMENT ->

Change of running style as front batch runner . Last two runs noted. Use of whip two times. Gallops slightly.

Juliette is a super mare but always remember one thing that she requires atleast 7-9 strides to come in rhythm... Fast straight set my kalamisti or any other will not be liked by her who would be kept switched off at the rear end. If she changes her tactics by running in mid bunch then she will romp up.. but not if she stays at the rear end and gives a dash.... Race would be over in short straight....

My choice is Jamari.... Trevor will judge the pace and sit comfortably in second or third.... After the band it's Catch me if you can...

As per System and ratings SHAMROCK is likely to lose today. lets see, sometimes systems also have their limitations, because a cursory glance at the runners one will simply conclude that SHAMROCK is the winner but my system does not say so. so lets see. but any way i am playing a bit safe a suggesting to back SIEGE PERILOUS and YUKAN both each way and both SOLID SOLID PLACE.Especially YUKAN at 2/1 place is SIMPLY PICK MONEY better than backing SHAM ROCK at 60 paisa.

KNOTTY CHARMER runs its best races when up front and in a pillar to post manner. today also it will hit front but in KOLKOTTA generally very few runners sustain over START TO FINISH bids and generally a whole group of late rushers charge and upset the front runner. so in my view, EVALDO will win today from STAR IS BORN who will run close.

Analysis=The whole race here will be run dramatically as KALAMITSI (who won race 159 in same manner) will go 40 LENGTHS to the front.  Mark my words KALAMITSTi will go 200 mts in front.... and  this will upset most of the runners here, except the grand old queen who will be switched off.. none other than the great JULIETTE  she will be well off the pace till bend and then the race will be over. JAMARI is the one who can be up with the pace and accelerate, so when KALAMITSI gives up at the bend... she will steal a march but will be gaught up by the queen.
So for me its JULIETTE (ONE HORSE RACE)-JAMARI (SHP) TOUCH OF GREY (THP).The second spot could be close between JAMARI and TOUCH OF GREY but in my view JAMARI will run second.

Ashok Mysore thinks he is too big. So many people have requested him to mention the name of the horses but he will not. Ignore such people and go ahead with real greats like Godzilla, Saida's Khet, Jitendra, Racebro, Abhay Pune, Misti, Cinch and others.

Both Jamari and Synthesis can outwit aged Juliette.

Jamari was not tried in the Indian Derby , the unfortunate Jendayi was the the Pessi Camps trier for the Indian Derby. Jamari had run the Indian Derby within 10 days of its   Bangalore Derby win  with impressive timings.

Synthesis was covering Jamari in the Indian Derby trying to pocket it , to gain time for Enabler to catch up.

Both Jamari and Synthesis did not  extend themselves.

The short straight at Kolkata will suit the front running styles of Champions way and other front bunch raiders like Jamari, Touch of Grey and Synthesis. Juliette will be hard put to warm up and accelerate beyond the youngsters.

Champions way will try start to finish.

Touch of grey will cover Jamari,Synthesis can accelerate better and quicker than Jamari and Juliette. 

Jamari has long strides and if it takes a good lead after the final bend it will be " Catch me if you can " drama.

Otherwise it will be the quick accelerating Synthesis.

My vote goes to Synthesis and Suraj

1 - 7  - should be in top 4

2 - 3 - the only Grey filly which will pay out today.

3 - 4 - Recent change of trainer and a relative gets the mount this horse could be in the good place position.

4 - 2 - will continue winning today as well.

4 - 4 - will try to reverse my last outing result with shamrock if not well capable of being in the frame.

5 - 1 - should be the days best

6 - 2 - could break many hearts as it may not win - Eat

Any ways only 3horses running Juliette Jamari Synthesis dey are cut above da class. Specially Indian queen. And dey all are running wid donkeys. 

If today Touch of grey comes near to see SS ball I wll quit racing n posting. SS comes frm out of (3) choices.

1-1 MINECRAFT - By Gusto. Coming with three straight wins, last run win was over 1200m 1:11:34 Should be able to complete the four timer going extra 200m beating the other two who will be fighting for minors are 4 MISS from Mumbai and 5 ADJUSTMENT from Bangalore.

2-5 PHENOMENAL LADY - By Leitir Mor. Ignore the only run over 1200m. It should run differently over the trip of 1600m and moreover PS in the saddle. 1 GLOBAL INFLUENCE is a LAY BET for me. 3 LADY SUNSHINE a winner over 1600m should run well again and place.

3-9 DIVINE THOUGHTS - Ran a very good 4th over 1000m 58:40 in mumbai. Should run well over 1200m winning. 10 ALL TIME LEGEND ran a good 2nd over 1200m might be a good place bet.

4-2 SHAMROCK - By Excellent Art. Coming with five straight wins, Suraj was in the saddle. Last run win over 1600m in Bangalore 1:36:79. Is a versatile horse winning from 1200m to 2000m. 11 MOON BLESSING a winner over 1400m might run well again with F Norton is a good place bet.

Invitation day races, with runners from all across the country participating, are not my cup of tea, and for that matter, pardon me for saying this, not for many of us over here, and that's because, on such days it needs much more than just handicapping, timing, etc. to pick out a winner, because of the variable factor, namely ground conditions, and PNR reading being different for every course, but honestly speaking, in my opinion, there's just one person on this forum who has the wherewithal to pick winners with some degree of confidence, I won't name him, but with the knowledge of Dynamic Ratings - because DR takes care of the issues I mentioned above - he surely has an edge over us, and I have seen his performance in the past, for Invitation races, and he's done pretty well.

Neverthless, on days like these I go with my numerology, and I'll just go to the Mumbai course, and bet based on the numbers, but as of now, without any explanation, my choices are as follows.

There are two horses that I had predicted right at the start of their careers that they'd go pretty far, and they are MISS AMERICAN PIE and SYNTHESIS, yes, I tip Synthesis over Juliette, another one of my favorite, and I do this because I feel that the Derby run was not true, and that Suraj sacrificed his winning chances for Yash, well, tha's  my opinion, and I guess everyone has a right to his/her own opinion.

5th race - A STAR IS BORN

7th and 8th race - Should be between the top two.
